Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe love the location especially how the hotel was next to the Giza pyramids. The rooftop show us the entire view of Giza. The facility was nice and clean. The hotel price was very cheap and affordable. The rooms were always clean. The staff was friendly, helpful, and respectful. Great customer service. The staff helped us plan the excursion trips. The trip was affordable, and we had great tourist guides. We had a great experience.

United Stateswhere do i start? everything the staff says is a total lie and scam. nothing is genuine, they just want your money. this facade of kindness is just deceptive and disgusting - do they think we're dumb? when we arrived, we were brought to a different room when what we reserved. they said they'll change it tomorrow, ok. the next day they bring us to a different room, still not the one we reserved. we refused until they finally gave us our suite- which was NOTHING like the photos here. Not one room we saw looked like what is advertised here, beware. they offered a guided tour, at $400 USD, dropped it down to $250, which was still a complete rip off and the tour just brought us to tourist stores (instead of the pyramids!!) to buy things. we had to keep telling the guide our own itinerary and refuse their scams! then we thought we had an "included lunch" since we're 1.5 hours away from the hotel at this point and they say the lunch is back at the hotel! we said no and continued the tour on our own. the all male staff wait around after they do the bare minimum for a tip, literally like putting a bag in the car or showing us to our room was enough for them to bother us relentlessly for money. i understand the economic difficulties of this country, but I have been to poorer countries where the people do not act like this, especially a hotel. do not ask them any questions, the staff will just pressure you into a paid car ride, paid tour or ask for a tip. like i said, nothing from the staff is sincere. the breakfast was leftover food from the previous days, nothing fresh. the food they served was cold and stale. the restaurant prices (on the roof) are equivalent to an expensive US spot! another scam! and the food was horrible! the wifi didn't, work, the towels were stained, and there was no hot water. please whatever you do, do not stay here and just pick any other hotel in the area.
the view from the roof of course, but there are hundreds of hotels in the area with the same view.

United Kingdom1. the room was supposed to have a view of the mountains, but it had no window. There is no view of the mountains there. 2. After arrival, the reception wanted more money after converting it into Egyptian pounds (forcing a tip) 3. The cleaning lady didn't leave me shampoo and water, apparently she didn't get enough tip. 4. The driver was picking me up at the airport, but at the reception they didn't let him contact me (malice) they think that everyone is rich and has dollars at their disposal.

AustraliaJust beware that when you pay for a tour at the hotel, you will pay again on the tour for entry to museums, pyramids, and be expected to tip up everyone
The view is second to none on the Giza Plateau. From the rooftop you can relax and enjoy your meals, photography or a coffee.

We spent a great time at the hotel, were able to use wifi all the time and got great tips how to spend our time. We'll come back for sure!

AustraliaHotel outside smelss like pee as all the camels pass through there to head to their stables. The pee odour is so strong that you can smell it inside the room. Very noisy room due to room facing the pyramids and hearing all the commotion of people, cars and camels. The hotel is quite run down and old.
Location, location, location! Best view of the pyramids. Staff were lovely

ItalyThe only thing that can be better is the breakfast, not much choice and not that clean, still good enough for a standard room… not at all if you pay for their top end room that is much more expensive. Also being in front of the pyramids and the ticket office means a lot, but really a lot of people offering you taxi, status, and everything else so you’ll be surrounded as soon as you’ll get out of the hotel.
Overall the hotel is pretty nice, we stayed in one of their basic rooms so then for what we payed there is nothing we are allowed to complain about. The room is full of what you’d need with complementary water, working air conditioning and shower cabin (really a “luxury thing” in Egypt). It could have been more clean or well-kept as many people say in the other reviews but really guys, you are in Egypt, standards are different, complain less and enjoy life more because you are literally in front of the pyramids and the sphinx in the best position ever. The rooftop is awesome with that view, awesome, there are also some umbrellas to keep you not under direct sun (and this is not obvious since there are many rooftops around without no umbrellas at all). Despite the rest of Egypt you’ll feel just a little the Egyptian “tipping mechanism”, meaning you won’t get forced to tip 😂, that is definitely a good thing considering how it works around.

United KingdomNo bar. But this is Egypt and the culture must be respected. If you fancy a beer grab a taxi for EGP100 to the nearby Marriott Mena House. Dress appropriately.
If you are coming to Cairo to see the main historic sites then stop at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable and friendly. The location, next to the Giza Plateau, means the that Pyramids, Sphinx and other sights on the Plateau are within walking distance. The view of these sights from the hotel's roof sitting / dining area is astonishing. Furthermore, since Giza is out of the main city and on the west bank, this means that other sights not to be missed, such as Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis, are within easy travelling distance and you do not need to travel though busy Cairo to visit them. When you do wish to visit central Cairo, for the Egyptian Museum for example, just grab a cab and then return to the relative tranquility of Giza and this hotel. Finally, the new Grand Egyptian Museum, not yet fully opened but WELL worth a visit, is only a few kilometers away. In short, as a many-time visitor to Cairo, this is a great hotel. Go for it !
