Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Beach was excellent though you have to enter the sea along in Abu Dabbab bay. Room was super, secluded and very comfortable. Food was varied and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful.

FranceWe stayed in Hilton Marsa Alam during Christmas-New Year period so we felt like it was a little bit overpriced compared to the deals you can get during the Winter season. But the New Year's Eve party made it up to us (to a certain point). The Hotel is rather old so you can see that the rooms were only spruced up a bit but not fully renovated, so that's a little disappointing (old equipment, furniture etc). Also, when we reached, the initial cleaning was not properly done with dust being left here and there but luckily our complaint was handled rapidly.
The food, the food, the food - it was delicious. The selection was quite wide, we loved the themed dinners. Everything we tried tasted delicious and we could feel the ingredients were of top quality. The staff was amazingly welcoming and did their job very properly, without asking for tips non-stop (which is often the case in Egypt). Our (little) complaints were taken seriously and immediately dealt with. The beach could be better but the proximity of the coral reef makes up for it. We also loved the fact that we could have lunch at the beach bar without having to go back to the main hall. The standards of the hotel in terms of hospitality are truly western.

ItalyThe cleaning of the room, the staff is fine, but could be more attentive on the daily cleaning (hairs on the floor, dust under the bed) People of the excursion's agencies or services (hairdresser, massage) on the beach are a little bit annoying sometimes and really insistent.
The resort is not big as the others in the nearby, it is cozy and not crowded of people, the animation staff is friendly but not annoying, the Hilton staff was always helpful and present, it is a good choice to relax and enjoy the beautiful Red Sea.

United KingdomNothing.
We are regular visitors to Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort quite simply because it offers everything we are looking for on a relaxing family break. Clean beach with exceptional snorkelling among the beautiful coral reefs and fish. The food selection is always good ensuring something for everyone, with themed nights around particular cuisine (Mexican night is a favourite). The staff are friendly and accommodating, always happy to make sure we are comfortable. And wifi is good enough for us to keep on top of work when we need to.

Czech RepublicQuality of drinks by the pools quite poor. Some thematic nights in the main restaurant had limited vegetarian options.
Well organized, several pools, a bit far from the beach but it is worth walking there. Nice and helpful staff. Variety of food good but the quality is only ok.

GreeceThe front desk staff were not overly attentive and were sometimes confused by or didn't understand our requests. Their English language skills were a bit lacking. The Dive Center guides should enforce regulations, like no touching of the marine life, but sometimes overlook it while trying to make a sale. It would be of great benefit to have a reasonably priced airport shuttle. After all, the Hilton is a good distance away. The taxi driver spoke no English, so I couldn't confirm the fee when he dropped us at the Airport. The meals/buffet should provide more vegan options as well. (plant-based selections) This was a disappointment.
The Hilton is situated on the lovely Abu Dabbab Bay, where sea turtles are known to graze in the mornings. It was a pleasant stroll, via the bush-lined walkway out to the beach, with shower, toilet, and bar amenities. The Dive Center is also located there, from where we rented fins and chose a speed boat tour to a dive spot to encounter the dugong! Our dive guide was very professional and experienced, informing us of the regulations and protections before our dive. This was a highlight for us and is one of the reasons that we chose the Hilton, because of its proximity to the area. We enjoyed our assigned room, which allotted us a view of the daily sunrise and sunset, as our comfortable balcony faced the sea. Our room attendant, Muhammed, was very nice and the room was always clean. The restaurant staff was friendly and the daily buffet at each meal was abundant. We liked the option of not having "all-inclusive" and deciding to pay separately for lunch, dinner, and extras. This turned out to be more economical for us. The entertainment by the pool was ok, We didn't attend much. We only sat a bit by the pool to relax and read.

If you select Hilton Marsa Alam that's means you will enjoy with the the amazing snorkeling location (Abu Dabbab) in all read see coast, so don't waste the time in swimming pool, The sea view from my room was amazing I don't recommend swimming pool view, the trip to dolphin house and the 3 island was really unforgettable happy moments, don't miss those trips and book once you check in, room was clean and perfect except the AC was noisy, regards to food the see food in beach restaurant afford good quality and tasty food. United KingdomThe gift shop experience, as a female solo traveller I felt like there were too many personal questions being asked such as where was my family and my husband. It made me feel a little vulnerable and I went straight back to my room that night at 8pm rather than linger to see evening show. I also was a little anxious as I could not properly lock my balcony door as a female solo traveller this felt a little vulnerable at night also but I am sure this could have been fixed very quickly.
Great service all around esp from the Head Chef and Manager when I arrived

ItalyThe entrance into the water is too far from the beach of the hotel (2-300m), because the lagoon and the beach just in front are a protected area (that's why the reef is so nice and alive). You have to walk 5min before reaching the area where in can get in to sea and do fantastic snorkeling. That's means that if you have kids and they want to to stay in water, you should stay all day far from the beach of the hotel. This is realy the negative point of this resort
Rooms are clean and large, the reef in frontof the hotel is amazing. Food is good enough, various, as well as the restaurants, but do not expect high standards

FranceIf I should really say something, : - We forgot our sun protector and we wanted to buy one in the shop of the Hilton (on the beach) but the quality was very poor. Considering the standard of the Hilton they could suggest better brands and organic ones, which are also better for the corals. - We booked through Booking, and despite being all inclusive, the alcohol was not included. - The water of the shower was OK hot.
We did several hotels in Egypt and even though this hotel is ranked 4 stars I can assure you that it is way better than all 5 stars we stayed in. Great diversity of food, with several options both international and local. We were upgraded and had an amazing room with sea view. Nice yoga and stretching sessions on the beach. The beach is amazing with beautiful corals and some turtles just in front of the hotel (no need to rent a boat to go far to see beautiful fishes). Nice separation between calm areas and more dynamic ones. Wifi was working extremely well everywhere, including the beach
