Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Receptionists was so cold, at the hostels should be more active and fun guys, but they were all kind.
It has to be the cleanest place in Egypt, it's central, there's a good atmosphere, a nice common area to meet others. Special thanks to the ladies who did the breakfast and cleaning.

Beds are kind of getting old. Half of my mattress I could feel the box springs. Was definitely flipped. Haha. Can also get loud at night if you're on the 4th floor. People were in the common area until almost 4am. And then came into the rooms and were loud as well. Despite this I would stay again. Just bring ear plugs. Luckily I have noise canceling headphones.
Super easy to meet people due to the small common area. Center of downtown so walkable to sooo many places. Tours the hostel offers are cheaper than anywhere else too so I do recommend booking them here. Also note for people on 2nd floor, there are multiple floors. 4th floor has the common area. Met a group of 3 English lads who didn't know this and thought the hostel was boring so heads up haha. Don't spend 3 days alone. Go to the 4th floor.

- it doesn't have heating, so before going to sleep it was a bit cold Not a minus, just a suggestion for the hotel: - would be good to have a kind of menu for breakfasts with details what's included - we've always got something delicious (the oriental one!!!), but not always what we've "ordered"
Great, newly opened place with excellent rooms. Very comfortable bed, fresh bed linen, very clean Delicious breakfasts and amazing staff (kitchen, cleaning service, guys at the reception). It's a short walking distance from Egyptian Museum, there's an amazing bakery nearby. Their price for airport pickup is just amazing!

Everything was absolutely amazing. I have not complaints about this place at all.
Fantastic breakfast. I would not mind a bit more of an Egyptian touch to the breakfast or having the option of one. But hey, can't for too much from them.

Showers/WC. Only a couple of them for the whole hostel is such a big handicap if you want to shower in "peak" hours.

The quilt in the room can be changed more frequently or use a certain flavor freshener. Because here everything gets damp and smells a little bit. But overall I like this hotel very much and I would definitely choose it again if I could come back again.
Very kind boss, he gave me a lot of advice and help, I thank him very much, the view of the room is far beyond my expectations, it is so beautiful

We loved our stay. The staff is extremely helpful (they arranged dinner to be delivered to our room - as we arrived late in the evening - and let us have a shower before catching the night train on our last day)

No dedicated space to have breakfast
The biggest advantage of the hostel is the location and the staff. They are super helpful and friendly. They gave so much support, it was really hours trying to book trips for us. They speak great english, are friendly and super helpful.

This hostel is centrally located and close to the metro and the Egyptian Museum. Yet, it is situated in a side street without traffic - this really makes a difference in Cairo! The staff was very kind and helpful organizing shuttle services. Breakfast was included and alright.
