Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI had booked a Junior suite and upon arrival I was told that my room wasn't ready and they put me in a smaller cheaper room. I didn't get any refund for that one night or credit. In the photos you can see the 1st room and how extremely different it is from the 2nd room(the one I had paid for).
The view of the pyramids was nice.

CanadaYou have to pay cash or by Internet transfer for the room reservation I would've loved to have the option to pay with credit card. Although for all the extras, like dinner, extra water bottles, etc you can pay by card so it's not so bad.
The staff is very hands on to make sure you have a good experience, the hotel is beautiful and very clean they serve food all day long, as a female solo traveler this was great as I did not want to walk around alone at night looking for food. And I was not disappointed with the quality of the food, it was delicious! I will be going back to Giza in a few days and reserved with them again. A

United StatesThe room was not what i booked. I wanted the room with a tub and got 1 with a shower. I felt i was misled. The bed was very close to the outside balcony door, and the noise was very loud from the street, and the last few days, there was street work being done. I didn't really get good sleep.
The location to the pyramids. Even with all my complaints, I will stay again. Next time i will see if i can get a room without a view (that is where the noise is), the food area on roof was well maintained and the workers try their best to make everyone happy. The hotel is clean and safe and small enough. I can recognize people, and that puts me at ease.

BrazilA little communication issue with the reception when booking a tour guide, perhaps a language barrier? Nevertheless, the issue was solved.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room size was adequate, bathroom facilities were also good!

Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Very friendly. Rooftop patio is the best view for sphinx and pyramids. The breakfast and falafel are awesome. So good.

BelgiumLocation is not recommendable for business travellers or if you are in need of a very good night sleep because of barking street dogs and people staying up late at night. In the early morning you hear the horses getting ready to go to the pyramids. Our room was the upgraded room facing an open square and the pyramids. Maybe a room without view on the pyramids (back side) is less noisy. For me the noise was ok for what you get in return with the view and the affordable room rate. I would go back.
Location is in front of the 3 pyramids of Giza. It has a rooftop with view on the pyramids. Nice sitting area for evening drinks and breakfast. It took us 30 min by car to drive to Saqqara in the morning leaving at 8.30am friday morning. Thursday evening from airport to Jimmy's took 40 min with traffic. Breakfast is served by the mother of Jimmy. A friendly lady, who introduces her home-made falafels, bread and jams with lots of enthusiasm. It is served in mini-dishes and you can add more of those you like the most. Breakfast is included in the room rate. We got a free upgrade to a room with view on the pyramids. The room was clean and very spacious and with airco. We left our luggage at the reception for an entire day while doing sightseeing.
