Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe staff are amazing!!! I can't agree with earlier posts more. The entrance to the building is not impressive, BUT once you are on the 13th floor interacting with the staff and taking in the views WOW! We loved the staff, they were amazing!!!! They made our family feel at home and helped us with everything we needed and more. We got to know the staff and they made our trip memorable, we played card games and dominoes with them. Thank you Saeed and your whole staff we miss you and so appreciate all that you did to make our stay FABULOUS! PLUS the VIEW was EPIC!!!!

AustraliaThe breakfast is very average, needs improvement. I think every time you take the lift you are rolling the dice ( gambling with your life).
Thanks to all the staff. They are very helpful. Location is good. The view from the balcony was great. There's a supermarket downstairs which comes in handy.

GermanyThe staff (all the 3 Ahmeds :-) were really welcoming. They spent real effort to ensure that their hosts are comfortable. They supported us fully in preparing our travel itinerary package for the Cairo Museum visits, Pyramids and Nile Cruise. The view of the pyramids from the hotel was amazing.

I'm so glad I picked this hotel, I can't fault the staff - they were incredible and couldn't do enough for us. They arranged the pick up from the airport (despite the flight being delayed by 2 hours). I stayed in two rooms and they were epic. You have such an incredible view of the pyramids - it feels very surreal enjoying a drink overlooking it. Highly recommend!

PakistanThere is nothing not to be liked about this place
I happen to stay at this place by accident and found it too good to be consider again whenever I will be in Cairo. From airport pickup to all the things I did in Cairo, they really were extremely supportive. Their staff is amazing. Loved the cleanliness and view from the rooftop, their food is full of taste, a lot of variety and very economical. They offer complimentary breakfast which is really good and afternoon/sunset tea coffee with a variety of pastries and biscuits which is again complimentary. They offer a variety of tour services which are very reasonable as their guides are really good. I would highly recommend this place to all those who are coming in groups or a solo traveler like me.

IrelandThat we had to leave
Our stay at Khan Duidar was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were by far the most accommodating and helpful people throughout our entire stay. Nothing was a problem for them and they went above and beyond for us to enjoy our stay. They booked us a dinner cruise along the Nile which was a fantastic experience shared amongst friends at a very reasonable price. Said, the manager even helped my partner arrange a clothing alteration for a pair of trousers and waited with him to ensure everything went okay. The rooms were perfect, clean and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Water bottles kept in the fridge cool for us and tea and coffee making facilities kept topped up. Location, off the beaten track but we were always welcomed back from our day trips by Ahmed downstairs, who greeted us with a warm handshake and saw us up to the hotel which is located on the 13th floor. The hotel itself. Insane. The rooftop is something out of this world, facing the Giza pyramids directly, where we had the most memorable breakfasts. I couldn't recommend Khan Duidar enough. We felt at home right away and will happily advise our friends and family to stay here in the future.

this hotel is a little tricky to find but worth the effort. the view of thr pyramids From the lovely rooftop space is excellent. the staff can order you food for dinner, and because I had to leave early in the morning, a nice breakfast box was prepared for me. the room was large and clean and the bathroom was nice. the staff was very friendly and accommodated all my requests, although I was told that guests could only visit the balcony and not the room itself.

NetherlandsThe personnel was really friendly, they went out of their way to make sure we had a really good time. The hotel staff makes sure you feel at home. Don’t be shocked when you arrive at first, because the neighbourhood isn’t really developed. But once you are on the 13th floor, you get the best view over the city and the Gizeh pyramids! The hotel itself is modern and nothing like the neigbourhood. The facilities are great.

Germanythe arrival is a shock as you must walk through earth and gravel on the ground. the building looks unfinished, then you through the “elevator” experience and finally arrive at the penthouse, which is a completely different world. all is nice and clean… and then the almost unreal views to the majestic pyramids.
the best views to the Pyramids. comfortable XL bed, clean, all rooms have access to a terrace.

GermanyOn arrival you do not have to worry, if you enter the building through a construction site and kind of side entry, it is the way up and then you enter a complete different world. I would recommend to the owners to put more signs in Arabic and English, so that it easy to find the entrance.
The staff and the owners are really nice, kind and friendly. They do not say that they offer service... they deliver service and it feels great to be there. I will return very soon and bring my colleagues. View from the roof is great.

PortugalThe entrance to the building in which the hotel is located in. The elevator to the hotel (located on the 2 top floors of the building, one of which is under renovation) is horrible - I saw it and laughed a lot and enjoyed it since I like experiencing and traveling, but bringing family or friends to the hotel through this elevator is a big no. Shower head should be fixed to have a proper stream - it drizzled since it is probably blocked. The shower itself is a bit leaky, so after shower the whole bathroom floor gets wet, but gets dried pretty quick with the heat of Egypt. The cleanliness of the room - it was cleaned every day, which was great, and the staff was awesome - and it was good for me - but if you have high standards take in mind it is not deep cleaned. The breakfast - overall fine, they are very nice and make you a fresh omelet as you ask for it, but the salads and cookies/sweets were not fresh, and it is very obvious things are being reused. I had a room with a view to the pyramids and a sliding door to the terrace - this was awesome. but you should know the terrace is shared, and people can just sit at your room's table very close to the door. so at one morning I wanted to eat my breakfast at the table with the view close to my room and some dude just sat there - like I didn't just payed and booked the room especially because of the view and the table and terrace. So for the hotel's management - make sure the tables that are close to the room's door are reserved for the room's owners since this is pretty much the reason why they book the hotel. Personally I didn't mind this small things, and its definitely worth it with the amazing view and the very awesome service and staff - but I know plenty of people with high standards who will find it hard - so its up to you and your expectations and standards.
The staff. The View. This place has the best staff and service - they are extremely nice and truly care for you. All of the people I've met working at the hotel were just great! - and this is why I give you 9/10! I'll definitely come back - because of the staff. The view to the pyramids is great, and the terrace is very nice. Thank you guys!
