Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe stay was unreal, I haven't the word for this experience. The staff was really kind, especially Kamel at the front dest, without him our holidays wouldn't be the same, very helpful, with a lot of advices, everytime here for us ! Don't hesitate to stay in this hotel, with an amazing view (unbelievable to be honest), delicious breakfast and beautiful rooms! We will be back for sure next time in Egypt!

Portugalthe entrance of the hotel is pretty shady. it’s a wreaked parking lot with random people making fires in the middle of the night and chilling in abandoned leftovers of another building. the hotel also has no reception downstairs so it makes things a little bit weird when you first get there - we had to wait for someone random to pop up and help us. the hotel also smells a lot like cat pee in the common areas.
the location, the view and the comfort of the rooms are definitely the best things

Germanythe building itself was a little bit run down (but so is most of Giza). it was perfect to coordinate tours with Khan Duidar directly because we got a driver (Yousef) that knew exactly where to go and helped us feel completely comfortable
the views of the pyramid were unreal!!!! the staff was excellent and really made this experience the best it could have been!!! our tour guide Yassir was EXCELLENT!! he was so knowledgeable and we just had so much fun doing 3 days of tours with him. our driver Yousef was so great too and it was really incredible to get to spend so much time together with both of them!

IrelandThe bottom of the building is very shabby. The doors of rooms are quite thin so we could hear noise outside but this didn't disturb us during our stay.
Incredible view of the Great Pyramid of Giza from the 13th and highest floor of the building. The staff were lovely and the owner was charming and accommodating, nice people. Giza is crazy busy but being so high up eliminated all the hustle and bustle and made you forget about the madness below. Breakfast was fantastic, so much to choose from! Very clean, towels are good quality. Room was v nice! You won't regret staying here.

Austriathe city is quite noisy and it is hard to avoid sounds that seemed to come from the chimney, although not too bad.
considering how chaotic and messy cairo was, this hotel felt like a hidden gem. the room was very clean and comfortable, much better than "5-star" hotels I stayed elsewhere in egypt. the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly - they were available for our midnight snacks and very early check-out with a take-away breakfast. as you would expect the view is quite amazing at the rooftop, which they decorated very nicely. i would definitely recommend this hotel and go back to stay.

Francethe location is not easy to find, you cannot plan to walk to the pyramids from the hotel, the room is a bit small but this is the best view of the pyramid you would ever find in Giza and this is the most important.
the view from the large rooftop is amazing, the staff is lovely and super helpful, the breakfast offers a large choice, and much appreciated the coffee and the tea in the room to enjoy the sunrise on the pyramid…magical ! we had a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon. highly recommended.

CroatiaWe traveled to Cairo in November this Year with a desire to experience the real Egypt and not the tourist-adjusted resorts. Having that in mind, and of course, mesmerized by the Pyramids View, we chose Khan Duidar Inn, the local boutique hotel. Have to admit, it was quite shocking when we arrived at the destination. The neighborhood is far from what we are used to in Europe. But...when we entered the 13th floor, we were welcomed like we came to visit our distant cousins. The whole team is beyond amazing, but our hearts were taken by Sayed, Paolo, and Joseph. Joseph was our driver, a beautiful, polite, and humble young man, so well-behaved. He drove us everywhere, patiently waiting for us, always with a smile. Paolo, our charming guide, an Italian captured in an Egyptian body, introduced us to their culture while lecturing about the history of the monuments. Fun, witty, charming, and patient, made us feel safe and welcomed in every moment. Like a cousin we came to visit, we laughed and shared our stories. And Sayed, manager of the hotel, an amazing old soul, so caring, warm, and wise, whom we had the pleasure to get to know a bit better and spend a few amazing evenings on the breath-taking terrace, sharing our day and experiences. Those three made our 4 night stay a journey of a lifetime, emotional, authentic, and magical. We felt safe, cherished and so welcomed. Every moment of our stay we felt at home. Kindness, warmth, energy, emotion, hospitality - beyond imaginable. Not a hotel, a home away from home. We will be back, if for no other reason, than just to have a cup of tea and some shisha with the team, to catch up and fill the soul with love, light and laughter. With love, M&K

TunisiaProperty's neighbourhood, entrance and lifts could put one off but once in the property which is on the 13th floor it is all dissipated by the caring staff, good standard of the rooms and the breath-taking views of the pyramids.
Kind and caring staff (reception, restaurant & housekeeping). Good standard of the rooms and bathrooms. Breath-taking view of the pyramids from the hotel's rooms and terrace.

United StatesThere is some work going on at the entry of the building, but it didn't affect our stay at all!
The rooftop view of the pyramids is amazing! We found the staff to be extremely helpful. Our Uber app wasn't working and the owner called a car through his own app and made sure we didn't overpay with a taxi on the street. The rooms were clean and comfy. It's clear they put a lot of effort into keeping the place nice. We were also able to walk to the pyramids from the hotel.

United StatesNot applicable. We highly recommend Khan Duidar Inn.
We were very satisfied with everything about this unique hotel. The service, comfort, convenience, helpfulness of the staff, and the quality of our stay. Breakfast was wonderful. There was a cornucopia of choices, and it was a great way to fuel up prior to visiting the pyramids. Mr. Saʽid was a very gracious host who assisted with every request: we enjoyed an early check-in, received assistance with transport, and even had a special meal prepared late in the evening. In all honestly, this has been one of the best stays while on vacation. Top-notch boutique hotel with lots of charm! We wholeheartedly recommend Khan Duidar Inn.

FinlandThe downstair’s lobby was trashed and the reception desk downstairs was smashed in. The neighbourhood is untidy and restless.
The view, the room, the staff and services were excellent! Even though the downstair’s lobby and the street lookes very shady, the hotel itself is perfect. The guide we had was pure joy and all the services Khan Duidar provided were superb. Will definitely be going back to Khan Duidar next time I’m in Giza!
