Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe ceramic and some parts of the bathroom are clearly over their best days.
Especially the help of their tourist consultant will be remembered, he is offering the best prices for daytrip destinations like Abu Simbel.

CanadaOur experience at this hotel was not just disappointing—it was heartbreaking. I had planned a special moment for my partner’s birthday during our trip to Aswan. I bought her a gold bracelet as a gift, something meaningful and personal. Unfortunately, we accidentally left it in our room when checking out early in the morning. Within just a few hours, once we arrived at our next destination in Luxor, we realized what had happened and immediately reached out to Pyramisa Island Hotel through our new hotel’s manager (who spoke Arabic) to help with communication. Despite repeated follow-ups over the next two days—including direct calls and WhatsApp messages—the staff provided no clear answer. When we asked directly if they were accepting responsibility or acknowledging the item was missing, they simply stopped responding. That lack of accountability made an already distressing situation so much worse. This wasn’t just about a lost item—it was a birthday surprise that turned into a nightmare. The emotional impact of that ruined moment can’t be understated. In addition to this, the overall experience at the hotel was appalling. The food was poor, the staff unprofessional, and even though breakfast was included, they still charged extra for basic things like coffee. Twice we came back to our room to the smell of cigarette smoke—staff had clearly been smoking inside. We had to ask the manager to come and spray the room just to make it bearable. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a trustworthy, safe, or even remotely pleasant experience. What should have been a beautiful memory became something we’ll never forget for all the wrong reasons
Just the location

IrelandThe breakfast was shocking. They had nescafe coffee as part of breakfast but charged extra for real coffee. I normally don't mind that when I can get a decent cup of coffee. The reality was that they didn't have a proper machine or service. It was difficult to order as in the majority of my interactions with staff, they did not understand English fully. Mostly, I ended up with Turkish coffee that was impossible to drink due to the amount of coffee powder. The bread was similar to the other hotels, just not what we are used to, not fresh, all packet bread. Their local options were fine, such as falafel and beans. They also prepared scramble eggs on the spot. Unfortunately for someone with food allergies, their breakfast had the least amount of options for me, and fruit was my go-to. In contrast, their dinner buffet was nice with various options.
I had read reviews and watched videos about this hotel, and I was aware of the pros and cons. I was expecting it to be more like a 3 start hotel, since many reviews complained about it being dated. In reality, I was nicely surprised. My rating should be 7.9 if I could have the option of reflecting that above. Some things were very good and some were poor, so I couldn't give it a higher rating. The hotel is situated on its own island. The views are amazing. There's a hotel boat that transports the guest to and from the island. The ride takes about 15 minutes, going past Elephantine island. It is a beautiful and enjoyable experience. In general, staff was attentive and friendly. Even though some areas are dated and in need of renovation, most areas that we used were nicely kept. The room appeared to have been recently renovated, and it was clean and comfortable. The mattress was firm, and pillows were of good quality. What I liked the most was the tranquillity and beauty around the hotel's gardens, with amazing views and nature.

Switzerland- the room was old - the curtains weren't fully closing thus waking up at 6 am - while trying to have breakfast at 9 am we didn't find anything to eat. - the chairs in the outside area for breakfast was dirty and full of birds poops. - the hotel taxi service was the worst and was always trying to provocatively overcharge for everything (30 $ for 10 mins drive)
Location on private island and nice boat transfer. The room was clean.

AustraliaMore Egyptian food offerings in the restaurants and lobby cafe. Wifi is weak so make sure you have an Egyptian sim if you want fast internet.
Location is amazing! The hotel is a little dated but the island is beautiful and quiet and the rooms and restaurants are lovely and the hotel boat to and from the island to the shore is excellent. The pools are lovely as well - it’s a busy place but never feels crowded or noisy- an oasis on the river.

United Arab EmiratesThe door of the room was horrible, i had to force it to close eveyrtime which made such a loud noise, in turn on my floor other guests had the same issue and the noises of banging doors would wake me up in the morning. The food is not upto standards breakfast and dinner buffet. The staff at the restaurants did not make it pleasant to ask for anything at all. The housekeeping team need to be trained better, cleaning of the room was not up to standards, simple requests such as water in the room was not met, the plumbing system in the shower is one of the worst, everytime i would take a shower the whole washroom gets flooded. Smoking was allowed indoor, so the hotel smelled like cigarettes the whole time, not taking into consideration second hand smoking, the guests who have asthma or even kids.
Location is great, and the fact that they always had boats to take you to the port whenever you need. They have a tour office that helps organise your trip you can also pay extra to get a private car and a tour guide.

AustraliaThe property is very old and outdated, not good value for money. The service was not good. We requested a few basic things like an ironing board etc but were told no it’s not possible but then we saw one in the lobby. Had to pay extra for a milk coffee even after paying for breakfast. The gym was incredibly dirty with machines broken. One caveat to this, the pool guys and the main host were very nice people, but outside of that, I’d look elsewhere when staying in Aswan.

United KingdomThis hotel is not 5 stars. Rather 2* if not one star. The place needs a lot of improvement. The food is very poor. Birds sit on the bread and sweet rolls and peck at them. The staff is not very helpful. Needs training on how to serve hotel customers. Also mr Mostafa is a person who will bombard you with offers of trips even at the airport. And he is a very rude person. He shouts at his customers. A horrible person. The only person who is quite nice is Christeen.
Only location.

GermanyRather old facilities. The staff is quite pushy in asking to get 10 star reviews which we didn't appreciate. The water in the shower of our bathroom was not draining down fast enough therefore the bathroom would get flooded at every shower especially since it takes a few minutes to get hot water in the evening
Boat always available to leave the island. Breakfast choices were good. They accomodated our early departure and had the boat and breakfast baskets ready at the time we requested to leave.
