We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelAll inclusive plan is disappointing. Not really worth it. Policy regarding room key is annoying (only one allowed per room, charged when it was lost... this is definitely a first...) Also pool towels are only given 2 per room when we were 4 . Booked a room for 4 (2+2). Got 3 beds and only 2 towels. Had to keep asking gir towels which is weird...
Everybody is very helpfull and friendly. Great beach and pool Food is very good in Egyptian standard. Dining room was always plenty of free tables (in other hotels it was very frustrating looking for a free table to dine).

IsraelThe hotel is bit far from Dahab market but there was a free shuttle from the hotel twice a day. I would appreciate more options for vegans.
Nice breakfast, very good service, excellent view. Nice evenng shows. I would like to mention Hulud Ismail from the reception desk for the exceptional service!

IsraelI arrived at the hotel for 3 nights. This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. In my opinion, the hotel is at the best level in all of Dahab, Of course, the spa at the hotel is also at a very good level. I am from Israel and I am careful about kosher food that I brought with me, the hotel gave me the opportunity to prepare and heat my food in the corner of the hotel kitchen. And here is the place to praise Khulud from the Kabbalah mitzvot. Holud speaks fluent Hebrew and helped us with everything we asked for and everything we needed. Thank you Akutel team for the experience and the service, and it's great that you have a staff member at the reception who speaks Hebrew, it is very important and helpful. Any Israeli who comes to the hotel and encounters a problem can talk to Holud and she will fix the problem or explain it to you. Thank you Holoud.

ItalyWe would rarely see any staff around, the hotel was kind of scary at night! 😅
The scenery was beautiful, it was a short walk within the hotel from the beach. The taftaf and their drivers were always very sweet greeting us whenever we hopped on and off. Most of the staff were friendly!

SwedenThe pools are not heated. The only fish served for both lunch and dinner over 4 days (8 times!!) was mackerel.
We were blessed by a beyond quality of service mindedness. The view was amazing, great and rather kind people, to mention a few, Kholod Esmail, Hussein Khaled and Mohamed Kamel.

EgyptI would have enjoyed my stay more if they had heated pools. That will make it more enjoyable during winter when i visited the hotel.
I liked that the place was clean, friendly staff and nice facilities. Special thanks to Mr. Kamil at the reception for making sure that our stay is exceptional. It was my first time at the hotel and definitely won't be the last.

EgyptActually the kitchen is somehow poor and no varities, so I recommend to book your stay as Bed only not B&B. The other thing, the way from Dahab gate till hotel needs to be more safe as there is no lights and so many curves in the road without any traffic symbols.
All staff were friendly, the rooms clean comparing to others hotels, the view was incredible, the facilities are okay not bad, and regarding the price it is value for money and great stay.

Israelthe staff at the front was disorganized - took 40mins to get the room key even though we showed up late in the afternoon. The Room was not cleaned properly, had to get towels and air the room from all the smoke. the Pool is old and rugged - it needs a new bottom surface as it feels like it is ready to sink in.
The view and beach - great artistic hotel

IsraelWe waited at check in for a long time. I booked two rooms, and though one room was a courtesy upgrade due to booking status, the other room I booked, i upgraded at my own expens and still waited for a long time to get the room. So it seemed that we would have waited wither way. The pool staff was not kind or serviceable and it felt as if they don't want to work. I must point out, that the guy that was not kind approached and apologized for getting angry, so that's the plus side. The rooms did not have towels and it was very hard to get one, as if it's gold. I think it's a service better taken at the pool, and not ask for pool towels at our rooms. Breakfast was till 10am, and exactly at 10am all trays were picked up, so even if you were sitting there and wanted to grab one last drink it was gone. The payment with dollars is very hard, they don't accept old dollar bills evethough it's perfectly valid everywhere else in the world (but that's all egypt, not just this hotel). At the end Kamel from reception helped us with this matter.
The place looks great. We had a suite and it had its own pool in the suite complex. The other pool was great too with slides to the water. The hotel beach is beautiful and very pastoral. The dining room was great also, though I only managed to have dinner. The front desk especially Kamel and this beautiful woman that speaks Hebrew I forgot her name, sorry, were very kind and helped us along the way. The lifeguard at the beach was supe kind and friendly and tried to do his best for the costumers. The reef is beautiful in this area, so better to bring snorcling gear since they don't have one there. Great for families BTW.

United KingdomPool closed early at 6pm - just before sunset. Cost of food in restaurant. Mattresses were too hard for me - my poor shoulders ached!
Location is 15min drive away from Dahab centre which suited us very well as it was a bit too hippy/laissez faire for our tastes. Cleanliness was good. The shower was wonderful and bathroom clean and spacious. Our cleaner Ibrahim was polite friendly and helpful - a real gem. So sad I didn't get to see him to thank him personally before I left. Complimentary bottled water daily (2 large bottles for the 3 of us). Pool was clean overall and the slides working. Grounds were beautiful - lots of flowers and the landscaping and design of the resort was picturesque overall. All rooms had a sea view and back doors to a small seating area outside the room. Short walk to beach front. Shuttle service to and from Dahab centre twice daily. The beach pier was always supervised and snorkeling was great in the sea when climbing down from.the stairs at the end of the pier. The reef close to shore wasn't pristine but it is still attracting a huge number and variety of reef fish which was amazing to witness.
