Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Saudi ArabiaJust a minor inconvenience worth mentioning—the bathroom lights were quite bright, and with a glass panel at the top, the light spilled into the room at night, which made it a bit tricky to use without disturbing others. The shower drainage was also a little slow, but neither issue took away from the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay.
Our stay at this resort was truly exceptional, and the location played a huge part in that. We were lucky to get Nile view rooms, and waking up to that breathtaking scenery every day made the experience incredibly memorable and well worth it. The sense of peace and serenity from the view alone added so much value to our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were warm, professional, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs—including a late check-out, which we really appreciated. Every interaction we had with them reflected their sincere commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction. The breakfast spread each morning was impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. What stood out the most was their thoughtfulness in catering to guests with early excursions—particularly for Abu Simbel. They not only offered a 3 AM breakfast service but also provided packed breakfast boxes for those on the go, which was incredibly convenient and thoughtful. The resort itself is tucked away in a location that feels very exclusive and peaceful, far from the noise and crowds, yet it remains accessible. The private ferry service to and from the main parking area was prompt, well-managed, and added a touch of uniqueness to the experience—it made us feel like we were on a private island retreat. After long days of sightseeing and travel, the resort’s spa was a true sanctuary. I had one of the best foot massages I’ve ever experienced—deeply relaxing and much needed after a full day of walking. It was the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. Also they have a 4 pm chocolate hour which my kids loved! All in all, our stay here was more than just accommodation—it felt like a peaceful escape that left us refreshed, well cared for, and full of beautiful memories. We would absolutely love to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

United KingdomFood in the Egyptian Meze restaurant was absolutely awful. Dry and tasteless, very disappointing. On the plus side breakfast was fabulous.
Pool area and the bar. We were upgraded to a suite which was great. Unfortunately the air conditioning was extremely loud so made sleeping difficult.

IndiaHighly recommend this Elephantine Island hotel for its spectacular Nile views. Reserve a full day to enjoy the property and take evening walks around the island—you won't regret it. Staff service was excellent and rooms were modern. Note: The hotel has two buildings with different designs; request the newer section for more contemporary styling if preferred. Aswan offers a refreshing change of pace in Egypt, and this property perfectly captures its tranquil charm.

EgyptThat we had to leave at the end of our stay!
Go to this resort anytime you are in Aswan. Our number one choice when in Aswan, since 2015! This resort never fails to give us an overall excellent and wonderful experience. A big shout out to Ms. Tayseer for being so kind, very professional and super hospitable during our stay: she cared for every single details and request, she provided us with cute and delicious amenities and she was always available to help us with anything we needed and this time our group was extra demanding but she still managed to give us the best experience. Thank you Ms. Tayseer, we love you! Also, I'd like to thank the whole team for providing such a remarkable experience. We love everything about this resort: Ms. Tayseer and the whole staff, the rooms, the views especially the ones over the botanical garden, the food (breakfast and dinner), the gardens, the swimming pool, the level of cleanliness and the resort being an eco/sustainable one.

EgyptThe rooms need some renovation. For the price, I expected to get a more “modern” room. It’s very clean, but in terms of interior it’s a little outdated. The food also needs an uplift. It’s good but not super.
The staff is the highlight of this resort. Super friendly and polite. Mohammed in the front desk did us a free upgrade. Rania from guest relations was very polite. Mrs tayseer also had my son’s birthday celebrated at the room as a surprise. Super thoughtful. The location and views are exquisite.

United StatesThe bar in the old building is very nice and old school, the one in the new wing is not. It needs some improvement.
The location on Elephantine Island is magnificent and the city is easily reachable by a 24 hour boat shuttle. The Panorama restaurant in the tower (whose design is inspired by the Philae temple) seems to be the best in town and offers views. We liked the gigantic breakfast buffet and the terrace overlooking the Nile. The architecture is classic 1960s dictator chique with a touch of 90s corporate bombast. Not for everyone, but we were amused. Also: We had a fantastic massage in the spa.

United KingdomParts of the hotel are a little tired . Our room upgrade was kind but we had no bath ( which the room we booked did have ) ; no sun at all on our balcony and the shower in our room was poor . The water did not drain away so the next morning we were stepping into an inch of cold water and randomly the water would be very hot without warning for a few seconds . Not a 5 star experience but the room was very clean and the bed comfortable . Towels were of a decent size and fluffy ! The gala dinner on New Years Eve was included in our room rate but we heard it was 330 US dollars per person for those on B and B and included only a few cocktails at the beginning . We had to pay for our wine . By any stretch that is a huge amount of money to charge and given all other restaurants in the hotel were shut there was no option other than to join in . Maybe that needs a rethink !
The location is fantastic without a doubt. Most tourists in Aswan arrive ; leave and stay on a cruise boat so luxury accommodation is sparse here . This was our second visit to this hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite and thoughtfully given free room service when we arrived late at night as we were half board . The staff are all very friendly and polite . I had a wonderful massage in the spa . Possibly the best ever . Thankyou to El Amir for topping up our coffee at breakfast and the extra sweet treats in our lunch boxes when we went to Abu Simbel .
