Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only thing that I didn't like was that the illumination from the light fixtures in the bedroom and the bathroom was inadequate, at least for me it was. Although there was enough functional light, I would not have been able to open a paper or a book and read the pages very easily in the room.
I stayed in the room with the view of the Sphinx and pyramids in January. The bed was Very comfortable. There was even an oil heater in my bedroom if I had needed it. Everything worked in the bathroom. What I liked most was the hospitality of Mr. Adell, the long time proprieter of the Inn. His hospitality is intentional and genuine. He really went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to experience a satisfying stay. This is true for all his guests from my observations. I was expecting breakfast because it was included, but not dinner, which came every evening right out of the kitchen for his guests at no additional charge. This is just one of many instances I could mention.

PolandThe wall are thin and there is no privacy at all. You can hear all that is said in the kitchen. It is impossible to get water to flow right at an acceptable temperature to take a shower. It either cold or burning and usually trickles due to low and variable water pressure.
The view! It was amazing and well worth booking this stay. Localization very near all kinds of shops, restaurants, etc. Eating breakfast every day on a terasse with the view of the Sphinx and the Pyramids was breathtaking. The owner is very friendly, acommodating, and easygoing. He speaks English very, very well.

IndiaFantastic view of the pyramids, you can see the light show from the terrace. The owner Adel made the place extra special he treated us like a family, he offered us some tasty local food and helped to make our trip smooth. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer.

United StatesThe shower in the bathroom was small and had low water pressure. You have to know where you are going as it is a little hard to find, but the host will arrange transportation straight to the door cheaper than you can find on your own.
View of the Pyramids and Sphinx are unparalleled, but the best part was the host. He helped with everything I needed. (Have him help you with tours, transportation, meals, and whatever else you want. It will save you money.) Facilities are not new, but clean and comfortable. It is definitely not a hotel. If you are looking for a place where you are treated like a guest in someone's home, this is it.

United KingdomNot much toilet paper but we had some of our own so no big deal.
Location was fantastic. View incredible (Pyramids and Sphinx) . Owner (Adel) was the nicest chap you could meet who would do anything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Bottled water available (free). Breakfast varied each day (example bread, jam, battered chips, omelette, falafel, sour cream, fruit tea and bottled water). Seating areas indoor and outdoor if you want to chill and take in the views. Staff were great and available most of the day if you had any problems. A hidden gem is the best way to describe this hotel. If I'm ever in Cairo again I would stay here for sure.

United KingdomThat I only had one night there!
I enjoyed my stay at the Pyramids Overlook Inn. I had a delay and arrived late at night but Adel the owner kindly waited for me. I was received like a guest in someone's home. My bedroom was very clean and faced the pyramids, a treat for my first night in Eygpt. Breakfast was delicious! Suzu cooked up a spread for me. The ticket office is right outside and Adel gave me advice on how to navigate the complex. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower pressure was great as long as the tap was off in the kitchen!

Location, literally sleeping next to pyramid. The owner and staff amazing hospitality and so helpful. We arrived really late after 2am and following morning, overslept by missing alarms and Mr. Adel and Zizi were so nice and understanding even though we passed the check out time. It made our first ever pyramid visit a special one, thank you Brother Adel and all staff.

BrazilThis is really a small issue, but a shower curtain would do wonders inside the toilet, also there could be more vegetarian options, if there were I do probably even have lunch there, but the food was excellent nonetheless.
This is probably the best view from the sphinx and pyramids you can get, the light show happens in front of you. Staff is great and kind, the breakfast and dinner were delicious (I am vegetarian). My room was spacious, bathroom wasn't inside it but very close so nothing to bother. That view to the pyramids everyday I was there will remain in my memory forever.

United KingdomMost friendly and welcoming owner. Adel you are top man in Giza. Very helpful. Organised our driver for Memphis and Saccara and our camel and horse for pyramids. It's the last house before pyramids so view from the balcony is amazing. Depends of your expactations - 60usd for 2 nights for 2- wonder how much would be 5star hotel in this location. Adel was waiting for us till we arrived from airport at midnight.A little breakfast in the morning with coffee is a plus, nice lady served it. Even hours after chceck out they let us in to refresh before flight. Very much recomended for short stay.

The staff and the boss are very nice and pay great attention to the safety needs of their customers. The hotel is very close to the Sphinx. One day, we returned to the hotel quite late, and the young lady at the front desk was still waiting for us to return and open the door for us. She was very responsible. The rooms are also very clean, and breakfast is provided. You can even dine with a view of the pyramids. It felt like a home in Egypt. I wish the boss and his staff all the best. thanks for your help, Greetings from China
