Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNot a negative but something to be aware of: the area around the pyramids is run down by Western standards - you'll find that wherever you stay locally. The local economy depends on tourist trade so expect to be constantly badgered to part with your cash (it's persistent but not threatening and you can and usually will say no). There are lots of street dogs, which won't trouble you but will bark randomly at night when you're trying to sleep - again, no fault of this property, just something to expect anywhere in the area. Similarly expect occasional outbursts from the many camels and horses in the general vicinity. Oh, and you'd have a fabulous view of the desert if it weren't for those giant pyramids stuck right in your line of sight! Basically: if you're looking to visit where the pyramids are, that's exactly what you're getting.
This is simply an awesome place to stay if you're visiting the Pyramids (and why wouldn't you?). You're incredibly close to them and they're part of your stay; you'll see them when you wake up, you'll have breakfast with them, you'll watch the sun go down over them, they'll sleep alongside you. To be honest that's probably enough reason to book this place, but let's pretend for a moment they aren't there. The included breakfast is good local fare, served pretty much whatever time suits you. The optional food later in the day is really good and would be worth a visit on its own (and it's not going to break the bank). The hosts are friendly and you're expected to treat the place like it's your home for the duration of your stay. It would be worth a visit without the view, but, yeah, the view is why you'll book it.

ItalyEverything was perfect
Amazing is the word that describes this place. From the terrace we have the fabulous view of the Sphinx and the magnificent three pyramids and at night time you can listen and see the light and sound show, just sitting comfortably from the terrace of the hotel with a drink kindly offered by Abel the owner. The hospitality of the owner Abel is fantastic, he really takes care of you and let's you feel at home. He is also available to advise you about tours. My room had a fridge and was very clean. I suggest to not miss the dinner in the evening with traditional Egyptian food cooked from the chef Sosu. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality💛

United StatesThere are a couple of flights of stairs up to the terrace and guest rooms. This wasn't a problem for me but be aware that the stairs are uneven. The shower could have been cleaner.
Location, location, location! I was worried that the images of the hotel had been photoshopped. They weren't! You will really be that close to the pyramids and the sphinx, with essentially nothing blocking your view. I was even able to see the pyramids from my bed! How awesome. The terrace is magical. One morning I got up very early and was able to watch the sun rise and hit the pyramids. Every evening I watched the sun set behind the pyramids. I watched the evening sound and light show for free from the terrace. Just incredible. I ate breakfast every morning looking at the pyramids. I ate dinner several times on the terrace again staring at the view. Even though the view was AMAZING, the people working at this hotel are OUTSTANDING. Adel owns this hotel and really looks out for his guests. After a bad experience with Uber, he booked all of my cars and drivers. He even sent one of his employees to walk with me when I had an unusual errand to run. Suzsuz is the cook. Her dinners are delicious. The price is very reasonable. Hit the easy button and let SuzSuz cook for you so that you can eat on the terrace watching the light change on the pyramids! Also ask if SuzSuz is available to give you a market/food tour. I found it fascinating. Cold, bottled water was always available in the refrigerator. This is a small, family-owned hotel that is run with love and kindness. Payment is in cash so come prepared. I was a woman traveling alone and I felt very safe and looked after by everyone at this hotel.

United StatesThe rooms are a little dated, but clean and well-supplied. The host is generous and loves the culture. He was a wealth of information and very interesting to talk to. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. We loved our stay here and would love to go back again sometime.
If you want a view, this is possibly the best view in the whole city. You are right there. From the balcony, you gaze at the Sphinx and Pyramids while sipping tea. The host was very attentive and flexible. He has connections to meet any of your travel wish list. One night we had an authentic home cooked Egyptian meal and he arranged for a super long camel ride and we had a blast. The facility is a little dated and we couldn't figure out how to turn on the heat the 1st night, but otherwise it was comfortable. But, honestly, the location was so ideal that we'd overlook a few things to be right there!

United StatesIt is very difficult to find. There is no sign outside and it is a narrow door wedged between a stable in a ruined building and a rental apartment building. It is very reminiscent of the old Airbnb when you stayed in someone’s personal home yet you are in someone’s empty rooftop 2 bedroom apartment without easy access in and out to the street.
The location is Fabulous! You really have this fantastic view of the Sphinx and the pyramids, and it is quite otherworldly to sit sipping Turkish coffee listening to all the horses and carriages on the cobblestones and watching the trains of camels going to and from the pyramids. The bedroom was very clean the staff very hospitable and the food quite fresh and tasty.

United StatesAs I mentioned, the inn itself shows some signs of wear. If you're looking for new and glitzy, this isn't for you. If you value location and comfort, though, look no further.
Adele was extremely helpful and made us feel at home. The inn is on the top floor of his home and you really can't get a better location. The Sphinx and pyramids are literally right there. Adele also made hassel free arrangements for a camel ride for the whole family, and they picked us up, escorted us to the camels and gave us a 2 hour ride, complete with great pictures (and many very funny ones!) The inn itself shows signs of wear, but is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious both days, and he arranged for a local woman to cook dinner for us one evening for a very reasonable price. The balcony overlooks the pyramids, so as we ate, we enjoyed the light show for free. We feel so blessed to have had the whole 3rd floor to ourselves (we had 3 rooms of family with us!) for 2 days and nights.

Adel and the staff made sure we felt at home. He gave us many great tips and shared his knowledge about Egypt. Also, he can arrange tours for very fair prices.
