Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location feels dangerous. Packs of wild dogs chase and attack cars right outside the hotel.... Nothing close by so taxis to go anywhere or order food to be delivered. 30 minutes taxi ride to the pyramids
The view and the room was nice.

FranceBathroom was not very clean, location is not central and even if you have the view on the pyramids on the terrace it is quite far away and on the corner. Also our room had only one very small window that was on a construction site.
Great staff who is very helpful

TurkeyThe cleanliness is very bad, the entrance and location of the hotel is very bad, the view is just irrelevant, the view from the windows, constant car noise because it is on the roadside.

AustraliaHad to pay cash for the room and we had to walk the area to find a VISA ATM that would work; luckily a local understood the word VISA. Hotel was in a derelict building next to an empty block that was full of rubbish. All the roads surrounding the area were dirt and there was rubbish absolutely everywhere. Definitely not a pretty area.
We had a view of the pyramids from our hotel.

United KingdomBreakfast wasn't great and location/place where this B&B is setup is not ok. But the services, be it Airport pick-up & site-seeing tours, are rip-offs. Everything is 3X of the standard price(Uber..etc). Don't take any services from here. I would have stayed much better place for the price I have paid.

SpainIt is so so far from the pyramids. I was sleeping in Cairo and I moved here to be closer to the pyramids; But... it took me the same time from Cairo to this hostel than from this hostel to the pyramids ticket office the day after, 25 minutes taxi. It is not worth it at all in my opinion. Also the view from the terrace goes with a terrible noise day and night because of the big road in front of the hostel.
The staff is super nice and friendly!! And the breakfast was good.

BulgariaThe stuff is helpful, the location is good if you are planning to stay near the pyramids but the road isn’t in great condition. Cleanness could be improved, and so can the breakfast.

United StatesThe “hotel” is on the fourth floor. Everything around are homes. One of the hotel employees told us that we had to check out on the incorrect date…even thought he was the one who checked us in. Don’t really trust the hotel’s transportation/ tours. You are in Egypt do everything at your own risk. All of the other hotel staff was very nice.

United StatesThe room was very tiny and bed and linens weren’t comfortable. The noise from the major highway was constant. The view from their site was misleading, you can view the pyramids vaguely. Breakfast was minimal and we skipped it on the 2nd days.
The location was close to the pyramids.

United StatesDO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!!! ZERO STARS Booked 4 nights here and instantly regretted it upon arrival. The pictures online and reviews are extremely deceiving. The location was very unsafe and sketchy. Bumpy dirt roads, no pavement. Multiple scary, stray barking dogs everywhere. Staff was nice upon arrival, but....... The hotel room was disgusting. Comforter and sheets were not clean, long red hairs on the sheets, pillow cases, and comforter. We checked in at 3am, and had no option but to stay until morning. So we laid our coats on the bed and pillows, in order to get a few hours sleep. The carpet in the room was dirty as hell. We did not take off our shoes. The bathroom was horrible, caulking around everywhere. We did shower and the water turned cold after 90 seconds. Water leaked all over the bathroom floor. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I travel around the world, multiple countries and even stay in hostels. This was the most disgusting place I've ever "stayed" at. 6 hours after checking in, we checked out. Mind you, booking.com shows the hotel accepts amex and visa, when we checked in at 3am, the front desk man said he only accepts cash. We had no cash on us. So when we checked out, the hotel front desk man lost his cool, yelled at us, told us he can put us in another room, and if we left, he would charge us the full price. Booking.com shows only 1 night is charged for canceling the reservation. The front desk man still insisted we walk to the atm and get cash. I refused. I called booking.com and they confirmed what the site says. The agent changed the reservation to 1 night and canceled the rest with no charge. The front desk man lost his cool even more and yelled at us even more. I was actually afraid for our lives. The booking.com agent even called the hotel and told them their own policy. The front desk man was refusing to let us leave. And then he called the owner, long story short, the owner said no charges due at all.

AustraliaVery important to understand that this is a budget backpacker accommodation which is great if you’re looking for an adventurous trip on a shoestring! if you’re looking to relax and unwind, this might not be the place for you - ultimately you do get what you pay for. The staff are great and the accomodation is okay.
Clean, EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating staff who helped whenever required (including when our plans fell through and we needed an extra night), and a 24hr desk service which was very helpful to us. Included breakfast was spartan and tasty, very much appreciated. They’re a good bunch of guys, very positive and helpful.

GermanyFinding the hotel (4th floor) wasn't as easy. Door to hotel and outside gate were locked at different times. I did not have a key to enter/exit. It would have been nice if the breakfast had some variety. The occasional cleaning of the windows (to view the pyramids) would be a great improvement.
The room was spacious and it was decorated in a warm manner. I had a nice view of the pyramids.

QatarStayed here for two nights. Staff was absolutely fantastic and very hospitable! They frequently checked in with us and catered to our every need (including karak :)). The hotel was clean with well installed contemporary bathrooms, A/C, and comfortable beds. There is a wonderful view of the pyramids at breakfast and from specific rooms. Great breakfast. They arranged two tours of Cairo for us on short notice and reasonable prices with an excellent & very knowledgeable tour guide (thank you Sam!). Great value for money! Highly recommend.
