The hotel very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean throughout. Every member of staff was helpful and freindly Breakfast buffet was excellent with variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. Highly recommend

It looks like cheapest motel, each room is separate from others. Dirty and absolutely dark room. Very noisy ventilation. Breakfast was also not good compared to all other hotels in Egypt. Old food covered with plastic tape.

Unfortunately there were quite a few issues during my stay — a lot of the staff didn’t speak English and couldn’t help me with local sights advice, I asked for a towel for the pool 3 times and I was ignored, I ordered a drink at the cafe and it never arrived so I had to ask the staff numerous times and in the evening a toxic fume was sprayed outside creating a thick cloud making it hard to breathe as it entered the room (apparently this is for mosquitoes but it smelt like petrol/gases)

Nice Nile view & I was checked in early morning. Cute retro style.

great location. in the heart of the city center. right on the Nile River. really good restaurants on the property. we had dinner as well as breakfast there and it was very good. having dinner with the view of the nile and felucca go by and a beautiful sunset in the background was just amazing. when you come out, just cross the road and you are in the local market (souk) ! can not beat this location. would strongly recommend and would definitely stay here if a opportunity presents.

We were Americans visiting Egypt for the first time and Nile Obelisk was our favorite hotel of the trip. The staff was fabulous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even upgraded our room for free. Our room was spotless, modern, huge, and comfortable, with a walk in tile shower and balcony overlooking the Nile. The have a private patio on the Nile that is available for restaurant service for guests. We ordered dinner, which was reasonably priced, tasty, and had large portions. They had a security guard tending to the compound and we felt very safe. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection. We would love to come back again.

Rooms were not clean. Beds were really old. Bathroom smelt like mould and wasn’t clean. I think some of the high reviews on here are a bit skewed...

When we arrived we didn't had towels in the room and it took ages to get them, I had to go twice to the reception to let them know. Our TV wasn't working too and our shower was blocked. The breakfast was poor for a four star hotel.

The location was superb, right next to the nile with a beautiful view. Our room was big and clean.

They waited until a few weeks before our arrival to tell us the Nile view room we booked wouldn't be available and put us in a pool view room adding in dinner food only for the same price. This was quite annoying and made it difficult for us. The room was smaller than expected and the floor didn't feel clean. The bathroom was terrible with water spilling out as there was no door screen to close off the area. There were also mosquitoes troubled us especially on the last night. The safe didn't work. They would only provide one keycard even though there were two guests in our room. The TV didn't work either. The vent in the bathroom created the loudest noise when turned on. Overall this was amongst the worst accommodation stays we had with plenty of basic things not there. Also with the compensated dinner, a few seafood options were conveniently not available. More water should be provided as needed for brushing teeth. The breakfast should have fresh fruits.

The location, friendliness of some staff at the restaurant and check in. They prepared a good breakfast pack for the Abu Simbel trip. The restaurant has great views and proximity to Nile. They gave us a relatively quiet room.

Rooms are very run down and tired, there were stains all over toilet, shower water pressure was very slow and sad. Honestly the photos are a very touched up version of the reality.
