Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceRoom was very close to subway and Tahrir square, however the price was quite expensive compared to Egyptian standards and we had only 2 towels : one big and one small for 2 persons The blanket was just one big piece of wool per person, no sheets, no heating and it was cold outside and inside in the winter (13°C) The shower had no curtain and water was flooding everywhere on the floor, they even put a mop to help us clean ourselves so they are aware of this issue but not fixing it with a simple 2$ curtain ... No daily cleaning service or towel change for a 3 night stay. Wifi was unreliable, television had no on demand services although they had a VOD module but out of service. Reception is available 24/7 and breakfast is simple but convenient.

GermanyFrom the start, the room was not equipped with Soap, toilet paper, towels, (I got them after asking), the room wasn't clean enough, Window view of an old and partially demolished building, Lots of mosquitoes, Lots of mosquitoes in theroom, which bit me a lot and prevented me from sleeping. In the middle of the night a small Mouse ran through from the WC to the room. After talking to the staff they gave me another room, but sadly not much better, because of that, I left the hotel at the third day and went to another hotel, of course I didn't get any money back. It was the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel.
Maybe the location and some cooperation from some of the hotel staff, otherwise NOTHING , water leaking from the bathroom sink, no hot water there,

ItalyWe booked a larger room on the site, but upon arrival, we were given a super tiny room. Unfortunately, it was late at night, and we were too exhausted to check our original booking or request a change. To make matters worse, the staff charged us for the room but pretended to miscount the cash and took an additional 100 Egyptian pounds (if they had simply asked for a tip, we would have considered it, but this felt insulting.) The hotel's location was also misleading. On Booking, it’s listed as "Royal Home Hotel," but the actual name is "City Hotel," which has a much lower rating. This kind of misrepresentation is unacceptable. Many of the high ratings on Booking appear to be from local guests, which raises doubts about their authenticity. If I had seen honest reviews, I would never have chosen this place. The entire building is under construction, leaving the corridors cluttered with construction materials, and filled with the smell of formaldehyde even in the room. The shower was barely functional, with only a weak drip of water, completely unusable for bathing or washing hair. Additionally, the room was infested with mosquitoes coming through the ventilation, making it impossible to sleep. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding this place, as it fails to meet even the most basic standards of comfort and honesty.

CroatiaPictures are way better than the rooms actually are. Hallway is dark, dirty, creepy. There are cats running around and doing their stuff. Very old and shaky elevators without doors Breakfast is not good. Dirty pillows Dirty headboard Very very loud Dark Rooms are smaller than advertised. I got a 10m² room at first which i then changed. No hairdryer No toilett brush Only 1 towel Only 1 half used toilettpaper roll. Also never got a new one. They don't clean during the stay Batteries of tv and ac remote were empty. I bouth some myself. Or else i couldn't heat the room. Staff wouldn't give me batteries and told me the ac is not for heating. Wifi almost non existent. Small water heater for 2 rooms. I showerd with cold water once. Beds have seen better days and have soft spots.
Location. Terrace where the breakfast ist has a nice view to the west over tahrir square.

SpainThe place is a total disaster. The hotel is under construction so everything is full of dust, completely dirty and not finished. Broken stuff everywhere, breakfast is served in a building across the street. But the worst was the room. Very noisy (1st floor), quite cold, very dirty-we found hair in the bed, the curtains dont work, we had no towels-we asked for them and they were brought dirty and not even folded. Wifi does not exist and the stuff is not very nice. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
