Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLots! Another couple gave our room number, so their food and drinks were added to our account (and only noticed by vigilant waiter!)Beware, and take photos of all your bills as proof. Swimming pool is only open 9am - 5pm, when we were out sightseeing. Air conditioning in our room didn't work. Bedding was too hot, so we slept badly. Rooms are dated, and ours had smell of cigarette smoke, horrible as we're non-smokers. The bath plug didn't work, kept draining as it was filling.
Stayed 2 nights in a Pyramids view Deluxe Suite which was huge, clean, with big comfortable bed. Room service food was excellent. Porters were excellent.

United KingdomThe safe in the hotel room didn't work and we had to arrange for an engineer to come and fix this. The shower in the en suite leaked badly into the floor and again was reported to the hotel staff. On our last day we purchased some food to pack into our suitcases, coming through the hotel x Ray machine the security guard attempted to take the food away for some random reason. Ordering food and drinks at the pool bar was ridiculously slow, it would take 20 minutes for 2 x cocktails to be made when the bar was quiet. By the time the order arrived it was time to order the next one. The pool area looks fantastic, however the pool bar service and the lack of heated pool really let the place down. The hotel has the opportunity to be very good. We stayed in 2 hotels in cairo/giza, the first one prior to this hotel had much better customer service when compared to the Steigenberger which was the same star rating. In my opinion this hotel is 4 star and not 5 star. No steam room, no sauna no jacuzzi and a cold pool.
The delux suite that we had was amazing, great view of the pyramids. The pool area looked fantastic abd tbe furnishings in the room were great, the location was great for the pyramids.

EgyptHigh quality upheld as always. Situated across the street from the Grand Egyptian museum and the pyramids which makes for a perfect location. The only downside in our last visit was the internet speed and that's fixed now so no negatives at all I must say. Shout out to the kind receptionist for upgrading our room on check-in and being gracious to allow us a late check-out too.

United KingdomOur room looked out on the Pyramids, over the hotel pool area. In the evening there was a band playing casual music (until 10h I think) which resonated quite a bit in our room, and since we like to sleep early this was a bit too loud. The Bathroom shower door did not close very well, so some water spilled on the floor. We had to leave a towel on the floor to stop this.
We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in an Executive Suite which was very spacious and had a nice view on the pyramids. Staff was extremely helpful procuring medication when we needed some. Breakfast was fabulous

RomaniaAlthough close to the pyramids, access cannot be done on foot. As well as the new museum opposite, you can only get there by car (20-30 minutes), due to the fact that the highway passes and there are parapets, you have to go around a lot. All around is construction site and traffic. It takes 1 hour to get to the center by taxi. There is nothing to do around the hotel. Pyramids can be seen from the room, but they are quite far away. But if you want to stay in this area, it is the only option next to Mena, which is considerably more expensive. The other hotels around the pyramids look terrible.
The hotel is like an oasis in crowded and dirty Cairo. Breakfast and lunch/ dinner buffets very good.
