Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThat the pyramids don't light up on the side of the hotel
The hotel was very new and clean, the view from our room in the morning was incredible and even better from the rooftop garden.

AustraliaNothing really. I can’t think of anything else I wanted.
Very friendly staff. Flexibility in check in and check out. perfect location within walking distance from the ticket booking office to the pyramids. Stunning views from the rooms and the rooftop, accessible to everyone even if you don’t have room view. Accessible local shops. Egyptian breakfast to a very good standard. We were two families myself, wife and kids from Australia and my nephew and nieces from Canada. 3 rooms booked and the above is based on the impression of all of us including kids.

United StatesVery noisy, including a smoke alarm that chirped every 2 minutes all night and day, which, according to the staff was how it was supposed to work. The food at the hotel restaurant was not good, but the location was good for being close to the pyramids and there were other restaurants nearby. The room was clean and a good size and the price was very reasonable.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast was one of the worst I've had so far. Furthermore, and this applies to any place I stayed at in egypt: strong cigarette smell, especially at night. Noise, as soundproofing isn't a thing. This is for anyone to prepare properly for a visit. Also be ready to constantly get asked by hotels and tour guides for a 10 rating, hence why my rating wasn't a 10
Great location if you want to efficiently visit the pyramids and the GEM. From this hotel, even possible to do in 1 day. The view towards the pyramids is as described. The gentlemen at the reception will try to help you if there is anything you might need.

PortugalThe shower was open and quite small so the water easily wet the floor and sink. The hot water lasted for 2min. The room was not properly noise insulated, you could hear the cars passing by and the corridor noises (a bip sounded all night). The breakfast options were quite limited (3 options only). The photos of the bathtub in the balcony in Booking seem like a trap to get more guests as the balcony leads to a huge avenue where cars pass all day an night, which is not relaxing at all. The hotel manager/receptionist trying to get me to write a Booking review in front of her (asking for a 9 or 10 classification) was not pleasant.
The hotel was right in front of the Giza Pyramids. The view from the room and restaurant was great. The room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable.

Czech RepublicBooked the King room with two large beds. The mattress on one of the large bed was disaster - mattress springs were heavily worn out and no person would be allowed to sleep on that while paying for it. The manager promised it will be changed in couple weeks as some renewal initiatives are ongoing. In my opinion the mattress is so bad it should be replaced yesterday already.
The location and the view were stunning! Rooms clean and tidy. Hotel employees were nice.

China1. The hot water in the shower can last barely 15 minutes before it goes cold. You’re stingy in terms of hot water supply, and for that, I will be equally stingy in giving you stars in review. My advice is that you be generous with hot water supply, Egypt is not short of water or electricity or gas. 2. You could have forgotten a better review if your staff did not stop us at check out to demand a perfect review - you left us feeling threatened, your tactics backfired. Don’t do it again. 3. We ordered food at your terrace, and your staff added extra items which we didn’t order and charged exuberant prices for that. No problem, we paid for that, but in return you get a poor review for such a behavior. Don’t do it again.
Great value for money in terms of location, view and facilities.

LuxembourgThe hotel is located beside a busy road and at night we heard everything. It was very noisy. We booked the hotel room with the bathtub on the balcony and we thought that it didn‘t provide any privacy. Our room was located on the first floor. People who were above our rooms, were able to see us. And also when we stood up, people on the street were able to see us as well. If we would book another stay, we‘ll probably choose a normal double room. Also, we couldn’t figure out how to close the drain from the bathtub, so the water level didn‘t rise as much, which was kind of disappointing. Lastly, we got stuck in the lift for a good 2 minutes in the dark until we decided to press the floor button that was above ours. The lift started working again and we walked downstairs.
It is near the pyramids and the view on the roof/breakfast bar was STUNNING. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was also well equipped. We also booked two tours with the hotel and we had a great time with Taha and our driver Medhat ! Also, we liked to walk to the gas station to get us some snacks and drinks for a cheap price. The breakfast was good, we didn‘t eat there at night. The staff was very friendly, and they were cleaning the property a lot, which we appreciated.

United KingdomI had way too many issues here, although they all got resolved. When I would complain about issues with the room, i.e. ceiling was leaking, the bed was broken, the room was not thoroughly checked before assigning the room to me. Restaurant staff was more interested in his phone than his job. Lady on reception was forcing me to make a review and decided to take my phone and start on the review herself, I told her I will do it in my own time. Evening receptionist, didn’t make me feel welcomed. Every time I came to him with a problem, his attitude was off. Take my advice as I’ve been Egypt twice now, stay here for 3 days then run to Hurghada. I’ve been

United KingdomThe mattress was not supportive at all, the duvet doesn't fit in the duvet cover so it's lumpy and hard to get comfy. The WiFi is poor - I couldn't connect at all. We were stuck in the room while baby slept so WiFi is something we rely on. The breakfast was basic - the food itself was fine it was just limited and quite expensive for what it was. Room temperature yoghurt, foul, chips, cheese, omelette and cold cuts - we usually have cooked breakfast so it keeps us going for the day while we're out.
The staff were AMAZING. Always happy to help, always smiling. Muatz did everything he could to help including translating to help organise my birthday surprise with my friend. They even brought us welcome ice cream and made my friend anees tea when she wasn't feeling well. The view - I would never get bored of looking at those pyramids. The room was basic but clean with enough storage for what we needed. The petrol station nearby means you have easy access to supplies like drinks and snacks which is great for when you go out. The breakfast terrace is beautiful.

AustraliaI can’t walk to the shops easily, it requires a car or the 3 wheel car to go. Despite the closeness of the shops there are too many cars to just walk on a one way road. The front reception girls were not the best on the last day of our extended stay in the hotel. Otherwise everyone was fine.
The facility was clean!
