Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe room was really disappointing. It is extremely outdated, especially the bathroom. Furthermore, the curtains were broken and were hanging 10% on the rails. The room was also dusty and did not look fresh (think of stains on the carpet, dirty curtains, etc.). The breakfast was reasonable, there was not much choice and many products were not chilled. For example, sandwiches or croissants were dry. The omelettes were tasty. No variety in breakfast. For example, the toppings had a very minimal choice of 2/3 things. We prefer to have breakfast outside.
The location was good. But we would have preferred a different hotel if we had known this. We relied on the photos on booking.com

AustraliaCorner room and curtains that covered half the window and one that you couldn’t pull back properly as too much curtain. We booked but couldn’t pay as they will only take the exchange rate on the day so instead of paying 118.00 Australian we paid a 160 Aus for no more than a 3 star hotel. We had to pay in Egyptian dollar although it says we are not suppose to but that all their machine takes. Hot water system very small so had a like warm shower when 2 are trying to shower and we were quick. The place is in need of maintenance tv didn’t work rang counter but no one came. The place has plenty of customers so I think they could well do with spending some money on it. Breakfast was average and needs improvement. Staff were entering our room although we hadn’t checked out as yet.
The view is lovely of the pyramids. Counter staff were helpful.

MauritiusBooking.com Has rated this hotel a four-star. But Actually, the hotel is a 2 or 3-star. The Hotel is not as per our expectations the quality of a hotel should not be influenced by its proximity to a famous location. Nevertheless, the staff was super polite and helpful. I want booking.com to refund me for my stay at the turquoise hotel. Because my stay was horrible due to a misleading rating of the hotel by booking.com. I have attached some photos of the hotel and how I was being given a super noisy room, Smelly bathroom, old premises, etc.
The break fast was very very poor. Like cookies biscuits, croissant and only little snacks.

Hong KongRoom and bed were a little dated though not uncomfortable. No refund was provided for one night that we had to shorten our stay. With some of the one way traffic restrictions, a longer route needed to reach hotel.
Great location within a couple of minutes’ walk of the entrance to the Pyramids. View from room and rooftop was lovely. Breakfast was basic but tasty - lots of carbs and both buffet/menu options.

United StatesThe upper management needs to pay more attention to the facilities. We had 5 rooms, and all the bathrooms smell like the septic hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The bad smell is very strong, and it comes into the room. The use of an air refresher is not enough. You need to keep the bathroom door closed. The door locks need to be upgraded; it is very hard to open the doors with the keys, and sometimes you need to ask the staff to open the room door for you. They need to put some type of light on the stairs behind the elevators; it is very dark during the night. Please consider getting a generator; the hotel lost power one of the nights. The day we checked out one staff member started asking for a remote control, he made it seem like we took it and made a scene at 6am in front of the hotel. When we asked what was the room number, he mentioned the number of a room that we didnt use. The way he handled the situation was insane and I still cant understand his over reaction to a simple issue that could have been addressed differently. The management really needs to provide more training to their staff and work on improving the facilities. The hostel has an excellent location, it could definitely do better.
The restaurant staff is very friendly and attentive. Saida and Asmath were very helpful and went above and beyond to make the stay better. We really enjoyed our time in the restaurant. The location is great, right in front of the Pyramids. The food at the restaurant is really good; however, the breakfast options need some improvement.

AustraliaWe booked a room with garden view. They covered up the window for good reason - it was filthy, cracked and the view was non-existent. Breakfast was another let down. Was shown a menu - we would point at something but when it would arrive we wouldn't get what we ordered. An omelette, no toast, no bacon, no tomato, no beans all of which was in the photo.
The room was clean but basic but not we were expecting from looking at the website.

United KingdomThere was not a lot on offer for breakfast, quite basic. We also had a power cut, which is apparently not unusual in Egypt, however, they had no backup power - so no air conditioning! The one picture shows a swimming pool, however, the swimming pool is at a hotel over the road.
You could not get a better view of the Pyramids than from this hotel. The food in there cafe was good quality and well priced.

SpainThey are obviously new to the hotel business, and while the stay was passable, there are always areas that can be improved. Thier airport taxi service is not very good, the driver turned up over an hour late, the obviously have a deal with that company but it would need addressing. They are catering more to foreign tourists, so staff with an improved level of English might be an idea. Finally, and we found it quite amusing, was that they had a nightly power cut for an hour. It´s a common problem in Cairo I´m told, so not really their fault. Was surprised that the Marriott opposite never experienced these issues though.
The location was great, right opposite the pyramids, if thats what you are going to Egypt for. The breakfast was very good ,as was dinner on the rooftop restaurant. Just don´t expect silver service dining.

ChinaThere is a flashing light outside the hotel, so it is difficult to sleep, the electricity goes off often, so we were woken up in the middle of the night due to the heat as the AC had switched off, the breakfast they serve is very inadequate, if you want a decent breakfast go somewhere else. As well as this, if you decide to eat at the hotel allow ample time, they take 30 minutes to cook an egg. The wifi is very weak, wasn’t working most of the time.
