Having only one bathroom (and one shower) in room of 6 people with no other showers available makes it really difficult to shower in the morning. It’s possible to use the restaurant bathrooms downstairs to brush your teeth but not showers available. The shower and bathroom was clean but the 48h we were there the water wouldn’t go down the drain when people showered so the room floor would get full with water. Having live music at the restaurant owned by the hostel is great fun but makes it absolutely impossible to sleep because the rooms are far from sound proof. The other downside is that because the entire first floor is used as a bar and restaurant there is nowhere to hang out besides the rooms when it’s raining outside.

Kitchen was in a different building adjacent to hostel and wasn't very well equipped. You weren't able to store food in your room but the outside door to the kitchen area doesn't always close properly and if that happens anyone can come in. They have had people come and steal food before. Luckily we did not. The corridors are noisy and you here everything. The WiFi was hit and miss.

My worst accommodation experience during my trip to Spain. The room’s cleanliness was unacceptable, and the bathroom had clearly not been properly cleaned. To make things worse, the showerhead was broken, so I had to hold it the entire time while showering. However, the most frustrating part was the terrible service. They refused to store my luggage and rudely told guests to leave. They ignored multiple phone calls and responded to messages with incredible rudeness, insisting that I leave immediately. Their rude attitude was also evident in the chat messages, and when I arrived to pick up my luggage, their expression was so dark it felt like I had committed a crime just by being there! On top of that, the Wi-Fi was terrible, to the point that I had to go outside and use my own mobile data.

After online booking confirmation,we arrived at the hostel to check in and the receptionist informed us that they could not host us ,even though they had availability , as we would only stay for one night and the hostel does not accept it during weekends. He also assured us that he would cancel our booking so as we are reimbursed. As a result we left the Hostel and paid to book at another place. 4 hours later , at 23.00 we received a mail from the hostel, welcoming us and giving us instructions about our check in. No need for any more comments by me, the facts are more than enough.

The Hotel address was very very very very very difficult to find, the sound isolation between floors was terrible ( You even think people who live above you are doing an air strike) and the heating system was not working in all the rooms. It is very difficult to reach the upper bed.

Even if this hostel were free, you should not stay here. The level of uncleanliness caused health problems and ruined my trip. 1. No Luggage Storage Service The hostel does not provide luggage storage services under any circumstances, either before check-in or after check-out. Guests are required to use paid locker services offered by external companies, which increases the overall cost of staying here. 2. Bathroom Odors and Malfunctioning Facilities The plumbing in our room was broken (as shown in the photo), and the odors and substances rising from the damaged pipes caused severe headaches, ruining my vacation. There is a possibility that toxic substances from the sewer system were traveling through the plumbing and filling the room with harmful fumes. Furthermore, the water usage of the sink in our bathroom was unavailable, I had to use the shared toilet on the basement floor for basic tasks like brushing my teeth, washing my hands, or using the restroom. The hostel provided no explanation or apology for these issues. The water supply remained unusable for both nights of my stay, suggesting this may be a regular problem for them. The staff did not treat it as an emergency or seem concerned about repairing it. 3. Staff Behavior Because the hostel does not offer luggage storage services after check-out, I asked the staff for directions to a locker service and went there. However, the shop they mentioned did not exist, and no store with that name appeared on Google Map search. So I returned to the hostel to ask again. The staff not only refused to help me but also scolded me, saying: "I’m eating right now. Can’t you see? I’m not your concierge. You should handle your luggage storage issue by yourself instead of bothering someone during their meal. Learn some manners as an adult!" This occurred at 8:10 PM. 4. The kitchen is located a minute’s walk on the public road.

There was a man in my room (25). I assume he stays there permanently, because he has his own fridge in the room. He talks on the phone out loud every night at 3 or 4 o'clock. When I told him to speak somewhere else, he just ignored me. I told the receptionist about this, I only got the answer from her "I don't know".

1. Private bathroom was soo bad idea. Everytime someone goes to the bathroom, the fan inside turned on and made noise really loud, so annoying. 2. The stairs to the upper bed was just somehow not the best. It was so hard to climb up or down without any struggle. 3. No hanger in the room to hang your jackets or clothes

The bathroom was not that clean when I arrived but as soon as I arrived cleaners came and cleaned it even before I say anything.

The location was perfect. The staff were welcoming and nice. I arrived earlier than the check in time but they welcomed me inside which was great for me.

2 ensuite showers in the female dormitory, one of which is out of order and in the other the water does not drain = bathroom completely flooded (a problem that seems to have been going on for a while as there was already a rag and bucket in the washroom) At the reception there is no one in the afternoon, evening and night. They do not have a lugguage room. The only option is to leave your luggage in a locker facility 10min walk from the hostel. (6.90€ for 24h)

First night i was in the famous room with people which lives there since months. Smell and conditions of the bathroom were illegal; food in the room, (they even brought a fridge), and in the night they were looking to videos full volume as if they were in their own home. Terrible. Recepcionist is super lovely and she provided me with another solution for the night after, which was perfect. Reception closes really early, therefore they don't provide luggage storage solutions.

It was a bit hard to get hold of the staff at times. The mattress was a bit worn out. But the main issue was that the bathrooms were not really well cleaned and quite inconvenient (1 shower, 1 sink for 6 people in the same room, no general washroom but attached to the dorm). I missed hooks and shelves to make it more practical. So I was not too happy in general.

The staff was friendly (when around), the kitchen worked well and the entry area is quite nice.

The black mold in the bathrooms firstly, air-conditioning out of order! in the rooms so we were all roasting! Rotten stench in the rooms from not being cleaned. No management or staff to be found at any time, waiting five hours for the most basic responses. Beds sheets were dirty & and bathrooms were not cleaned properly. A bus load of unattended high school kids, setting off fire alarms constantly, banging doors walls, were also staying there & absolutely out of control over 3days, it was a nightmare!!

Have stayed in several hostels but this would be the worst hostel ever. First, they did not even clean our beds and keep it ready while checking in. There was no comforter/quilt, literally had to sleep with our jackets on. Pathetic. No one was at the reception at 9 pm when the toilet paper was over and we could not use the restroom. The floor mat in the bathroom was soaking wet when we reached and there was hair all over the bathroom. Then one of the lockers did not work to keep our stuff. RIDICULOUS. Then worst thing ever happened, on the day of the checkout, we had to start early as our train was at 6 am, so we packed our stuff by 5:30 and came to the reception to realize that WE WERE LOCKED OUT. No one was there to open the exit door and we started screaming but no one came. We missed our train and our trip was completely ruined, thanks to 4U Hostel. Don’t bother going there. Save yourselves.

Unfortunately, there's a long-term guest taking too much liberty. But that has nothing to do with the amazing experience the staff provided. The hostel is great with good value for money.

High standard dorms with airco, authentic romantic balconies in the heart of Granada. Walkable to amenities and public transport. Housekeeping goes up & beyond (I appreciate you ladies making my comfortable). Flexible helpful reception. Great breakfast and in & outdoors restaurant. Fully equipped self-catering kitchen. Owners go out of their way to accommodate special requests. Visiting Al Hambra with a super affordable accommodation that also provides apartments.
