The hotel got a lot busier over the weekend, although it didn't become problematic, and we presumed that a lot of locals come here for a long weekend. A very minor negative point is the distance from the town. The walk is pleasant along the beach, but it is a good 25-30 minutes, and just a tad too far out to go regularly.

A very nice, modern, and clean hotel, with really friendly staff and good amenities. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely consider staying again. The hotel is quiet and ambient, with a nice relaxing air. Our room was spacious with a good shower and bathroom, and contained a refrigerator. The pool area was lovely, with plenty of room and there was no struggle to get a sunlounger. There are two pools, but we only used the main one as it wasn't too busy. There are a couple of restaurants, although they vary in their opening times. The Arrozante restaurant is open in the early afternoon, as is the snack bar, and then Atunante is only open Friday-Sunday evenings. Maybe this is just because it's early in the summer season, but in any case we didn't use any of these restaurants. We used the buffet restaurant a couple of times though which we enjoyed; there was a good variety of food, and it didn't seem repetitive.

The TV has no connection to Internet. We can't watch movies, or anything. The reception stuff told us this issue was for 1 year already... while to another client I personally heard the same staff mentioning a different excuse. Shame

We didnt like any of the breakfast , lots of things but of poor quality and theres no avocado, a good quality granola would be nice with nuts and seeds. music that they play throughout the hotel especially at breakfast very annoying and old fashioned. no where to get any food at the hotel during the day or night, except the buffet which is the same as the breakfast lots of different foods but very poor quality. had a steak there cooked on the plancha was inedible !! like shoe leather. needs a nice lounging area to have drinks and good cool music and maybe tapas , the bar at the moment feels like your in the foyer.

rooms very comfortable and the bed comfortable lovely and clean staff very friendly and helpful.

The room had very poor lighting design with no mirror in sink/vanity area. Also there was no full length mirror in the room. Both made it very difficult to feel like you were able to get ready properly. I would not reccomend staying here to anyone who likes warm, hospitable service as the staff made no attempt to welcome us during our day stay. Although we acknowledge that our Spanish language skills are poor, we did try to speak in Spanish, however, it did not seem to be appreciated and only one staff member spoke English, therefore i feel this hotel caters to Spanish visitors rather than international ones.

Beautiful contemporary design and very clean with lovely front sea view. The king bed was comfortable and the room very clean.

Very disappointed in the options for evening meal. In brochure we understood there are 4 restaurants.. on first night only a buffet option open. Going up to the B Haven bar for sundowner. The poor barman had no clue how to make a cocktail.. total disaster..

Sadly some restaurants and bars were closed at the property. No information about tours or other tourist information was available. The breakfast items were limited, and the coffee machines kept running out of water. We were there 3 nights and the food was identical each morning

Beautiful hotel, in a quiet location with comfortable room. They make a lovely club sandwich!

A few of the other food/drink options were a bit rough around the edges if honest. It's a little far out of town to be walking there and back also. Queues at reception, reception staff seem uninterested in queue growing.

Pretty good hotel, breakfast was great. Hotel was very clean and tidy, room was well fitted. Views are great. Hotel staff were always polite and friendly. No kids anywhere! Huge shout out to Adrian, really went above and beyond with various requests. Welcomed any feedback positive or negative.

Our room was very noisy as the open air bar was very loud, reverberated up to rooms, even after the singer stopped patrons were very boisterous, by that time it was too late to request another room We had a faulty sliding door and wind caused it to sound like a tornado was about to land, we never realized that it should be open slightly to prevent the noise, terrible nights sleep. We did report in morning. The breakfast room is very badly laid out, you had to squeeze behind other diners to get to breakfast items, space between tables very small . The area for toasting and bread items is congested all the time. Coffee stations are badly placed and machine coffee is never great. It was so noisy and not a pleasant experience. Staff clearing tables were efficient Few English channels on TV

Very comfortable bed. The reception and stair areas are architecturally pleasing. Pool area and outside seating looked nice but we couldn’t use as it was cold

For 400.-/night I expect more. For example not to pay 5.- for wardrobe. The lock at the door might not function once… but then it should be repaired. we were standing 3 times in front of our hotel room waiting for technicians. Twice after midnight for more than 20 min. Sink was clogged…ok can happen but then not for 24 hours. Should be repaired meanwhile. On the linen of the bed were shoeprints. Last day very early morning (7-8) the staff were cleaning the pool area noisily (where we and many others had their room) with a Kaercher.

    Good location, friendly staff

If Ryanair ran hotels... Save yourself the money!

The hotel charges 15 euros a day to park with them. They are basically in the middle of nowhere and about a 30 minute walk into Conil town so - let's face it - most guests are going to probably drive. Rather than incorporating the parking price into the overall cost of the room, it's put on as a extra which feels very Ryanair i.e. being charged extra for something that's a basic necessity. I think if you're charging nearly £2k euros a week - just offer the carpark for free and don't make your guests feels like you've prioritized an extra bit of money over their overall guest experience. Most people are also going to arrive with suitcases because it's a holiday destination by the sea. When most people unpack clothes from a suitcase, they'd like to iron some of the crumpled items. Barcelo does not have an iron in the building - for a hotel that I imagine has about 500 rooms. I've been to youth hostels with 10 rooms that have been able to provide this very basic and common service. Hotel Ryanair - sorry I mean Hotel Barcelo - instead would like to charge you extra to use their laundry service in order get some wrinkles out of your shirt going out somewhere nice to eat. Oh - and talking of somewhere nice to eat - the hotel restaurants could be but if you don't reserve with them, they won't seat you. Despite being a guest of the hotel, paying almost £2k euros for the week and there being tables free, we got very abruptly told to "go and use the pool bar". We complained about this to reception and they basically shrugged their shoulders and said it is what it is. What they're saying is not that you cannot eat at their restaurant without a reservation, it's that they cannot be bothered to go the extra mile to help find you a table and help remedy the situation when a guest is clearly unhappy with the customer service they've experienced.

The pools and the breakfast bar were totally fine and generally very pleasant.

Modern, sleek, but a bit boring!

The place was confusing to get around. The buffet breakfast and dinner wasn’t amazing but did the job. Entertainment was totally lacking - there was a guitar/singer duo on the Sat night which was nice but no entertainment around the pool during the day or on Sun night. On Sun night it seemed like they didn’t even want to run a full bar service even though there were plenty of people waiting for drinks. The rooftop bar only opens Wed to Sat and it was closed due to high winds. Parking was €15 a day but we checked in at 14:30 and moved the car to free parking at around 20:00 and was already charged €10.50.

Hotel is brand new, rooms were modern and the beds were huge. The pool area isn’t saturated with people and you’re not allowed to reserve pool beds with your towel like at other hotels. Plenty of free parking just outside the hotel which we luckily got.
