Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWas disappointed to have to pay a €20 cash only deposit per pool towel for a 4 star resort when they had a copy of a credit card on file they could charge if you didn’t return the towels. They had an ATM in the lobby so I could get the deposit out but it charged an exorbitant fee. Just a bit disappointing and annoying. Also not sure if bathroom is intended to be a wet room but the way the shower was meant you had water leaking out while showering which made a bit of a mess.
Beautiful rooms, stunning pool area, great selection of food in the restaurants, nice and close to the airport, staff were polite and helpful and other guests were pleasant and respectful - good vibes all round

Size of room, breakfast was really nice - whole complex was ok and I would stay there again (We travelled with 4 year old girl) Definitely car is recommended to have on this location and you can easily do your own day trips Price for stay was ok and I think if pay bit more better would be to stay in Barcelo Royal part of complex

United KingdomAs a solo traveller during half term, there were understandably a lot of families about and a lot of loud entertainment throughout the day. I didn’t really mind but others might. As the hotel is a resort options for dinner usually involve eating at the hotel which was a great standard but there is not much outside the hotel in walking distance. The beach by the hotel is a gorgeous view of the sea but just rocks and not sandy - there is a bus very easy and cheap to get to other beaches but also something to consider.
The hotel is very clean, comfortable and a really lovely place for a relaxing break in a gorgeous, sunny country. Breakfast was excellent, there really is so much high quality choice. I paid for breakfast only but found drinks and food at the hotel affordable and also great quality. There is a bus outside the hotel to take you to many surrounding beaches and parts of the area and it is also close to the airport making a taxi also very reasonable.

Really lovely hotel and if you enjoy being active this is fab. 50m Olympic pool, well equipped gym, regular fitness classes. If you enjoy just chilling the pool areas are lovely

IrelandWe were welcomed by a cockroach, which is "ok" due nature around. But the following nights we couldn't sleep with the amount of them coming from everywhere. We had to request a spray during the night to try to sleep. Despite that, it was alright.
Food and drinks are nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pools are nice, the location was perfect to explore the area. The car rental is right in front, so no issues.

HungaryUpon arriving at our room, we were faced with a horrible smell coming from the bathroom. As the maintenance could not do anything about it, we were given a different room later that evening. There were some cockroaches on the floor of the dining area.
The accomodation is a huge resort in Lanzarote, just outside of Arrecife. The staff was really nice and helpful and handled all of our problems in a professional way. We enjoyed the outside pools and the beach as well. We were satisfied with the variety and quality of both the dinner and the breakfast.

SlovakiaThe room was clean except for the floor. I don't wear slippers, so I could feel every little bit of dust and dirt on the floor.
First of all, the Cuisine, they cook really delicious food there. We spent a week there and every day they surprised us with very tasty food. The hotel also has a very good location, you can be everywhere in short time.

BelgiumDespite the great overall experience we had a the hotel, there were some things that we did not appreciate: right at check in, we were asked to leave a 20€ (cash compulsory) per pool towel, not per room, PER TOWEL, meaning for us 60€ deposit (I didn't have cash on me so I could only take 1 towel, we were 3 guests, what do I do with 1 towel?); I found this ridiculous in a 4 star hotel of this category (I must say that later that night when I returned to reception fo something else I mentioned my disappointment at this and I was offered vouchers for 2 extra towels, deposit free). Also, the hotel is divided in 2 "hotels" separated by a road (with traffic!) and involving significant walking from one to the other; the family rooms and in the "back" hotel where you don"t have sea view and the atmosphere is very noisy, family-type, very loud music, much less welcoming thatn the front "hotel". I asked to be changed to the nicer side but was told they were fully booked there (the hotel is enourmous). Finally, you get a really weird feeling by not being able to access many of the facilities as they are reserved for certaing type of guests, "royal", "all in +", etc., so despite the fact that you are in a top category hotel, you are refused entry to pools, activities, restaurants, bars, etc depending on the colour of your bracelet. This really adds a touch of segreggation and guests are not really appreciative of this (I definetely wasn't)
Beautiful, very modern hotel. Plenty of sports activities, great gym, super sporty atmosphere and guests; I loved joining the Triatlon (300m swim, 10km bike, 2.5 km running), done every Wednesday, great atmosphere, great fun. Food is very food and varied, the restaurants are very very welcoming, modern, inlcude all kinds of healthy food. The main pool is beautiful and with great sea views. For some reason we were given on arrival a VIP guest of the day card, which offered us a free menu dinner at Koi restaurant, a Japanese/Korean restaurant not included in the half board we had; a welcome gift (bottle of champaign in our room) and a 15:00 late departure on our last day, instead of the usual 12:00. Staff at reception were very open and helpful

United Arab EmiratesWe found hair in the shower in the bathroom and a makeup mark on one of the towels so it didn’t feel completely clean. However overall the room was nice with very comfortable beds.
Very well organised considering the size of the hotel which is massive. This is a great hotel if you have smaller kids. Otherwise it’s a bit of a nightmare with all the music, and ongoing daily entertainment. It can be a bit annoying.

IrelandThe shower had no door or curtain, so the floor kept being covered in water. The kettle in my room had spots on the inside which looked like mould or limescale, so I didn't use it to be safe.
My room was bigger than I expected. The housekeepers cleaned it and replaced my towels daily. Great view from the balcony. There was a nice variety of food at breakfast. I have decided to join a gym at home after how well things went at the hotel gym. Throughout the week there were many activities set up in the pool area, such as water polo and darts, and live entertainment at night. There were bus stops right outside the hotel, which made travelling easier.

IrelandMaybe its a personal opinion but the quality of the food at breakfast was not what I expected. Loads of industrial bag frozen products and very little fruit choices. Music and other activities at the pool were totally unnecessary.

United KingdomWe started in a non Royal Room, after a jittery start the staff moved us (upgraded us) to the Royal rooms and we had a front line suite which was beautiful! They couldn’t have done more for us (even if the kids missed the bunk beds from the old room!!)
The staff are absolutely amazing. Couldn’t do more for you. The entertainment for the kids (mini disco and Barcy😃)are so excellent. Once we moved to the Royal area as well the accommodation was superb. Good is great and we were only half board.
