We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

FinlandOn our last day we noticed that there was visible mold on the walls of our room. The room also had a slight moldy smell to it. For this reason we will not be returning and feel that hotel does not deserve the four stars it has.
The location is perfect and the staff friendly.

United KingdomThe food was very basic and choose of food with cooked meat and meals not good, the staff mostly the young waiters were rude, pulled the plate away from us no smile and chef rude too to customers not putting fork in right place, my son had a single room overlooking the disco which was blaring away and other son had a room that leaked water everywhere when he had a shower, just a basic mainly British hotel but cove is lovely that’s the only good thing.
Next to beach, but area was very run down and cheap looking

ColombiaThe location is excellent, the room was very spacious, tha balcony was great. We decided to pay for the All Inclusive + and it was worth it just for the ability to eat at Magical. The entertainment at night was very fun and a couple of drinis at the bar hit the right spot. We would definitely come back and recommend the place.

United KingdomThe room I booked was sea view balcony but the room I had was beach view and the sea was a side view and also a large palm tree in the middle..not what I booked but told the hotel was full and couldn't move till the next afternoon which meant we would have to pack again and then unpack again too much hassle thought the room was overpriced. also didn't like the fact they allowed guests to reserve sunbeds with towels in the early hours they must have crept out in the night desperate people. Very busy big hotel not for me.
Nice breakfast and plenty of outdoor seating areas though very busy.

United KingdomThe hotel itself from the front looks more like a prison than a 4* hotel. We arrived around 2pm and told our room wasn’t ready to had to wait another hour, frustrating when we had been travelling since 2:30am. Upon check in I asked about parking as we had hired a car and I was told we would be charged €18 per day for using the hotel car park. Then we were told we had to pay €10 deposit for the key for the parking space and then another €10 to hire beach towels. The hotel itself all seems a little dated. The reception area and buffet restaurant are decorated how you would expect a Barcelo hotel to but then the corridors and other areas are very dated which gives the impression that guests aren’t appreciated. 2/3 of the lifts didn’t work whilst we stayed here and we were on the 7th floor. The whole layout of the hotel is very strange and it was hard to get your bearings. The pool at the rear was packed every day and you were unable to get a sunbed and by lunchtime the sun was blocked by the hotel so I’m guessing people then made their way to the front pool which backs on to the main road which again was very busy. Our room felt extremely small, the shower and tap had no pressure behind it and it was like a garden sprinkler than a shower. The room also smelt badly of drains. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk to be able to make yourself one. Only 2 small bottles of water provided during our 4 day stay. I feel as though we paid way too much for this hotel and hidden costs such as the parking making it even more expensive. We didn’t stay in the hotel during the day and used the beaches instead. The consensus from others staying there was they felt the same and wouldn’t use the hotel again, as do we. Don’t waste your money as there are a lot nicer hotels in the area.
The hotel is in a great location and has access to Cala Ferrera beach, which is absolutely gorgeous and the view from our room (769) overlooked this. The buffet breakfast was nice and there was a lot of variety.

United Kingdommy ‘premium’ room was so noisy. it overlooked the entertainment stage and I got noise all night every night from music and the hotel shows ( not my thing - talent shows, karaoke etc) the only night bar was also by that stage. i asked to be moved but there was no space - the noise was not on the listing, and I think they should be honest about that. food was average - buffet, not very fresh lukewarm and same selection. I was half board and they only provided plain water with the meal. so I went out for meals.
amazing location right next to the beach, helpful staff, nice decor and very clean

United KingdomFamily Pool the sunbeds too close together everyone squashed together like sardines. Not enough umbrellas for the number of sunbeds. Should be at least half as the space is a real sun trap hardly any shade. . Awful lifts. One permanently out. The other 2 intermittent faults first one then the other. Food labels in dining room so faded you can’t read them. Not enough bowls for breakfast. Shelf constantly empty. Children’s playground a joke. Only 2 items despite loads of space. Check in too fussy. Insisted on me forwarding them an email to confirm I had booked even though I was on their list with a room allocated.

United StatesParking is a bit pricey, €18/day plus a €10 deposit for the keys.
The buffet is the best buffet I've ever tried, it has an amazing variety of foods and typical foods from Spain. The staff are super nice, especially Eva at the front, she exceeded my expectations. She's close and sweet and very caring. The location is incredible, near the beach and a lot of amenities. It had two pools. The rooms are super clean and new, and the amenities were great. This hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever been.

United KingdomOne of the rooms had mould in the celling and around the air con vent. The smell of bleach was always very strong when the rooms were cleaned. We did not complained during our stay but please check room 461 for mould as it is highly dangerous for people with respiratory or heart issues. For most part of our stay only one of the 3 lifts was working, which was quite annoying for a 4 star hotel with 7 floors. Also the lifts looked dirty, so did the stairs. The hotel needs more maintenance investment to get the work and repairs done quicker.
The location was perfect. Everyone was really helpful and the food was always good, a lot of variety. We were lucky to get rooms with a view to the Cala. There was always a free sun bed and the animation team was quite nice.

AustraliaBlood on our sheets when we arrived was disappointing. Had no electricity for 2 hours in our room. Staff were dismissive and unhelpful. Hotel is so large that you’re just a number, there is a lack of care and attention to detail across the hotel. We were on our honeymoon and so looking forward to this stay but were left so disappointed.
Great location in a beautiful beach. All inclusive options meaning you don’t need to leave the hotel.

United StatesThe food was unfortunately so disappointing and bland, we didn't eat most of it and went elsewhere. The elevators were not working our entire stay, except for 1, so we had to take the stairs each time. The hotel has a very nice location, but there corners being cut. The food definitely needs to be worked on because it was not appetizing and the trays at the buffet were a mess with stale fruit and clutter everywhere. Wasn't worth the money, I wish we had stayed elsewhere with less kids as well.

United KingdomEverything great
The location was perfect, located on the beach and a short walk from local shops and restaurants. It was immaculately maintained and clean and tidy. Rooms were modern ,comfortable and had plenty of room. Paid extra for a sea view room and wasn’t disappointed, what a view!. The all inclusive food had plenty of variety ,with chefs also cooking lots of different meals daily as well as the usual buffet options. Staff were excellent throughout the hotel .From the excellent manager Paul ,to reception staff, waiters , chefs and bar staff and maids the whole holiday was made that much more enjoyable because of this. The evening and daytime entertainment was good too. No Rush for sun beds in the mornings that I’ve often experienced on holidays in hotels , with plenty available around the two pool areas. Beds on the beach were chargeable (not by the hotel)but plenty of room on the sand if you fancied a dip in the sea. Will definitely be returning here and can’t recommend it highly enough.

United KingdomAir con isn’t good - especially in buffet area!! Far too hot. Lifts are very slow and one was broken for the duration of our 5 day stay. Waiters weren’t very attentive, bar staff were rude (especially José). Wi-Fi wasn’t great. Adult pool (which wasn’t an adult only pool… a lot of kids splashing about) is shaded by 3pm. Had to be up by 6am to get a sun bed. No aircon in gym.
Breakfast was good with a great selection. Location is good, beach is lovely. Room space & amenities were good.

DenmarkThe hotel was overbooked. If we wanted to eat at 20.30 or later we should wait at least 20 min to get a table. It seemed to be caused by understaffing which also was the coincidence at the hotel lobby during the day. The tables at the buffet was standing WAY too close to each other so we had to squeeze to be able to get in to and out from the tables. One elevator was broken the ENTIRE time we were at the hotel (10 days) and one was only once in a while so that sometimes left the entire hotel with ONE working elevator that couldn't fit more than 5 people totally squeezed together or one stroller and two parents (which there were many of!!!). People put towels on the sun beds at night before or awfully early in the morning (we saw people before 6 am the day we left), so if you came later than 9.00 it was completely impossible to get a free bed - despite the fact that there were only people lying on 30 percent of the fully reserved beds. Furthermore one of the two rooms we were checked in to started stinking of sewer (really bad - you could even smell it from the hallway) and it took 3 DAYS!! to be moved to another room. It was fully booked so it was understandable and acceptable if we were offered a fair compensation but we were only offered a ridiculous small compensation for the inconvenience (17€).
The beautiful view from the pool area. The close acces to the beach and sea. The staff was very friendly and tried their best despite being understaffed but the understaffing affected the level of service.

United StatesVery unorganized check in, check out process. One of the rooms I booked was not ready for check in until 1730 and it was only after I complained that the hotel offered any compensation for the delay - room was supposed to be ready for 1400. Despite having to give a deposit for beach towels, when I wanted to exchange them for fresh towels, I was required to pay more money. Towel pick up and drop off should not be at the front desk. There should be a stand down by the pool/beach area. Although they had a place to shower after check out, there was no privacy for changing clothes. Also the showers had no soap.
Beach was beautiful. Hotel convenient to lots of restaurants
