Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainExcept for the consumables where evrything need to request (no brush, slippers neither comb) although their services are very fast. My expectation was high because it is a 4 star hotel where all the consumables are readily available.
The breakfast was excellent. The cheese selection, pastry and fresh juices was available. Big pool where my kids enjoyed a lot and they let us stayed for a swim even after check out.

United KingdomIt is not within walking distance of Aranjuez’s Town Centre so residents do need a car but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel.
It is a very modern, clean, quiet and comfortable spacious hotel. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. The stunning swimming pool was open so we were able to enjoy it. Buffet Breakfast is varied and plentiful. The bedrooms are big with good mattresses. Air conditioning was good too.

SpainVery pleasant experience for a great price! The room was big, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was one of the most abundant I have ever seen, including a selecion of gluten-free and lactose-free products. Will definitely recommend!

SpainGood to see 'very adequate' facilities being provided to refugees,,, not an issue for the hotel management but the location is a little inconvenient for a visit to Aranjuez ( to walk is further than we had expected, but only 4/ 5 minutes to go by car.
Room and Breakfast were excellent,, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable.

SpainWe picked that hotel for the spa- and it was a deception to learn that it was 26 euro per person for only 1h30. Quite far from the city center around 10 min drive.
Spacious room, nice spa.

BelgiumThe hotel receptionist that 'welcomed' us was simply horrible and seemed personally offended we thought the swimming pool was still open - summer season just ended, apparently. In contrast to what we found online, both the restaurant and the swimming pool were closed. We felt we were treated as squatters, not customers 🤨 So we didn't bother to ask, late in the evening, whether the outside billboard-lighting could be turned off. Our bedroom was right behind it, in a seemingly empty hotel! The heavy curtains served well - partially. Apart from that, this very welcoming and charming staff member 🙄 was constantly indicating the hotel was past its glory days. Apparently, it lost a star and the management was planning a future update and refurbishment of the hotel - we could tell. To be fair, after our little discussion with the receptionist, the local management offered us a free hour in the spa (for 4 persons), which was very relaxing! (Although they had to sleep over it and ask 'higher management' for permission). Apart from a small supermarket (Día or Spar), there is nothing else here. You'll have to take the car to go to the city centre, e.g. to find a restaurant for the evening. We gladly did.
The Hotel Occidental Aranjuez is clearly a business hotel and located (way) outside the city. It is very large, has a large outside pool and a lovely, though very dark, indoor spa - the last one is not for free! The rooms are spacious and the breakfast buffet offers you the classics: hot and cold, sweet and savoury, even fresh fruit salad and plant-based milk. That's a plus for vegans! There is plenty of parking space outside, between the hotel and the casino next door. Good price range and I think the better choice if you have a car - but do read the negative remarks!

SpainCheck-in is not very efficient and slow, even though I had previously sent all relevant information to avoid that process. Staff were unwelcoming and straight faced. The room is dated, furniture tired and worn. The room is too dark. Bath had no plug, which seemed to indicate that they didn't want you to use it, even though a bath is there. The rice restaurant that is attached to the hotel, although a nice interior, is modern and bright. Extortionate prices, terrible undercooked hard rice, and dry, we had to leave most of it. Bread box that, nor did I ask for or eat from was charged 4.50€ for!!!!! Drinks Extortionate. Very dissatisfied and felt cheated. The room we were given didn't reflect the photos that appear on Web page.
The hotel was easy to get to the city centre and onto the motorway. The hotel restaurant had a good varied menu and was very well priced for a hotel. The 2 staff members serving a lady and young man are very pleasant, chatty, and efficient. There is plenty of place to park. The rooms are clean.
