Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandIt says to sleep for 4. It does but the sofa-bed is way to uncomfortable. We stayed three nights and it was not possible to get a full night rest. If they could upgrade the sofa-bed it would be a 5 star accommodation
Host was there to hand over the keys. He also explained what is around and gave us some maps. And a bottle of wine :) Location was brilliant. Everything was in walking distance in the middle of the city.

AustraliaPerhaps a new mattress topper on the bed but that is just our preference.
Location, location - easy to reach being close to metro. Everything we needed for a comfortable 6 night stay. Juan, our host/property manager was great giving instructions while we were in transit, super friendly and helpful on arrival. Juan gave us an orientation of the property and spent time highlighting places of interest on local map - everything within walking distance. Would stay again and recommend to others. Muchas gracias Juan :D

AustraliaJust a couple of small things to do with maintenance. The bracket holding the shower handle was very loose and almost falling off and the handle on the washing machine door had snapped off, which made opening it very challenging. The ironing board also needs to be replaced.
Excellent location close to public transport, shops and restaurants. The host, Juan, is a charming man who made us feel very welcome. The apartment is a good size with everything that you need. The noise insulation is amazingly effective. We were here during Madrid Pride but could not hear anything of the street party which went on every night in nearby streets. In spite of a few negatives, I would definitely come back again.

GreeceEverything was great!
The room was excellent. Very clean and quiet, despite the fact that it's located in a very central spot near to the most spots you have to visit. Very important for me is the fact that had heavy curtains that blocked the morning sun! Also is next to a metro station. Juan was an excellent host, and he explained to us what we shouldn't miss from the city. He also welcomed us with a bottle of wine. If I return to Madrid, I will definitely choose this apartment again.

AustraliaThe washing machine needs a new door. European washing machines take a long time but it was worse because the machine didn't signal when it was finished and the door handle was broken so I couldn't open the door. I couldn't tell if the cycle had finished or not and as a result I lost most of the first morning. The cleaner showed me how to release the lock with a knife - if they're not going to replace the door they should leave a sign saying to do that.
Lovely apartment, exactly like the photos, and lovely host. Juan was waiting for me on my arrival and gave me a welcome bottle of wine. He said his English wasn't so good and my Spanish is non-existent but we got by with a mix of Spanish and Italian. Communication via WhatsApp was good because he uses a translation app. He gave lots of handy info about where to eat and what to see. Great location in a quiet street parallel to Gran Via and very close to Gran Via metro station (though it's frequented by ladies of the night, it's not at all unsafe or seedy). The bed was really comfortable.

United StatesThe internet is terrible: working for an hour at a relatively low speed, and then it stops completely. We tried to reboot the router but that didn't fix anything. Then it would work again later on for no apparent reason. Instructions on how to get into the building on the first day could be clearer.
Very convenient location and amazing host who explained the whole city and how to get to each point of interest. Also we got a nice bottle of wine as a welcome present.

United Kingdomall good
The apartment is in a great location. all the major sights are an easy walk, supermarkets, restaurants etc literally around the corner. the street itself is just behind Gran Via but is very quiet. we messaged Juan to say we were leaving the airport and then called him when we arrived and he was waiting at the office inside, He is very friendly and very helpful. The nearest supermarket is 1 minute away - leave the building and walk to right to the corner, turn right and a supermarket is a few metres away. El Cort Inglés is 5 mins away if you really need a big choice (it is in the basement of the store) our favourite restaurante was Vinitus in Gran Via (2 mins walk) - the tapas is so tasty! The apartment is clean and the maid came practically everyday to offer towels etc. Taxi is fixed 30 euro between city centre and airport and there are many taxis.
