The only thing that is good about this place is location. For this price, the conditions are ok Shower dirty and old, you have to press so the water comes and in 10 sec the water finished, you have to press again, very inconveniente The toilets and showers ( 2 of each) are for the whole floor, around 10 rooms each have 12 people, so in the evening it's always dirty with lots of hair on the floor and in the shower Staff is ok but not really helpful Be aware of thieves, for this place it's usual as they told me, and there's no chance that someone will help you here They have cameras, but it doesn't provide the security Better to bring your locker, cause they don't give u one, you can buy at the reception for 5 euro The bed is ok, washed but not completely white, there were some spots on the bed sheet The card often didn't work, so I had to change it a couple of times, I couldn't get in the room or in the hostel They don't have a possibility to check in earlier, only after 3 You can leave your staff there, for 3 euros till 11 pm, but be aware that they don't let you take anything from the baggage or put smth inside if you need later ( and they didn't aware me of that before) There's no kitchen, on the 2 floor, where you put your baggage, there's a bar, you can hang out there if you like, or buy some food or coffee. It's sad that there's no even a small kettle. You can ask for hot water in the bar. You can buy towels or do laundry for some price The wi-fi in the room is very slow and not strong The air in the rooms is strange. I can feel that it's getting colder, but still, it's not fresh and sometimes hard to breathe. There's no soundproofing. You can hear everything from the wall. Unfortunately, I never felt safe in this place, and I didn't really enjoy being there. There's option to buy breakfast, for 6 euro every morning, from 8 till 11, you can ask at the bar.

Shocked at the lack of privacy in the bathrooms. There was no lock on the door to the room with the toilets and showers, and then the individual showers didn't have locks. In addition, the shower doors were CLEAR, which means anyone could have walked in and seen me completely naked. Another issue - the bathroom next to my room wasn't cleaned enough. Every time I went in there, there was urine on the toilet seat and water on the floor.

The staff were very friendly and the location was amazing.

I came around 9-10 am and was charged for storing my luggage before check in. When I read before the information in booking.com, it was mentioned only after check out they do charge, but in reality they charge before check in as well. Well it was somewhat not a great welcome. I stayed in floor 5, and wifi from our room was not working, or working very slow. Stuff at the restaurant 2nd floor is very nice and welcoming. Btw, there was no hairdryer in the shower, not in common shower as well. Overall hostel location is perfect and good to stay for one night.

Cancellation of my booking multiple times - my card was correct!! In the end i had to pay more and book with other card. Many problems . Dirty room and bathroom was horrible. Other safestay in barcelona didnt also help me with cancellation when i wanted to help people in Valencia. Do not recommend.

I was at the mixed dorm and couldn't sleep because others were very really noisy, coming back drunk and smelling bad. Bad experience, did not feel safe. Hostels in the off-season have very strange customers. No recycling bins. No hanging out areas so people very in rooms screaming at all times. No toilet paper. Semi-cleaned bathrooms. The staff was annoyed when I asked them about recommendations on what to do around the area.

It is a fantastic location, and there is nothing better than being less than a 10-minute walk from the most iconic sights of Barcelona, such as Sagrada Familia, and a 2-minute walk from the iconic Casa Batllo. It is Easy to travel anywhere; literally in front of the hostel, you have the metro and buses that, for example, take you to Park Guell up the hill.

The only good thing is the location but other than that it's too crowded, not enough bathroom and it wasn't clean. They have kichen but they don't allow you to use microwave.

Everything was fine, personal was nice, rooms were ok, bed was also ok. The best thing about the hostel is the amazing location.

Top Location and really good price, only issue I had was that the USB port at my bed was not working but I guess that was just bad luck. Highly recommended if you have a short stay in Barcelona and are travelling with friends.

The location was very impressive and the Hostel was great. Too bad I had to spend all my time finding a way to get Cash after my wallet was stolen on the Subway

My wallet was stolen on the Metro from the airport. I am very grateful that the staff at Safestay did what they could to make my Crisis less problematic. This shows good heart. Thanks. Be warned that pickpocketing in Barcelona is rampant and that they are very skilled at their trade I have travelled the world and BCN was the first place I got mugged, before even the train left the station:)
