Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything else must be purchased with a credit card only. Never in my life have I been in such a hostel with limited service: nothing is included in the price. No kitchen. Bed linen is a separate purchase. Even the lock on the box is separate. In this case, payment is only by credit card. Attention: upon check-in, the possibility of paying with a credit card is checked.
Safestay Barcelona Passeig de Gràcia - the best of the worst hostels I've stayed in. The location is excellent. Cleanliness is ensured. The bed is provided - and that's where the service ends.

Cons// showers has no pressure and lights in room would come on or off depending who was coming in. Worst was when key cards wouldn’t work. Make sure not to loose key card 5 euros per card
Pros// friendly guests , vibrant ambiance, lovely staff. Amazing view from rooftop! Terrific location for trains , food , and sights.

The 1st two days were fine roommates were respectful not noisy. After that it all went downhill the replacements were noisy no regard for respect whatsoever. Toilets are a bit dirty. Don't expect to have a good night sleep forget it. Beds are uncomfortable as F. Staff are good though and the location is the only that is good.
The only good thing about about the place is the location, that's about it you are paying for the location. It's at the heart of the city everything is near and accessible.

- basically everything was very dirty and smelly; - the window in the room was closed with a chain and a lock, so there was no oxygen; - lounge space was closed at 11pm, so there is no space to be after this time except for the room; - the air is stuffy everywhere.

AC didn't work. Most of the receptionists were unhelpful. Lack of kitchen and fridge. I had a very bad experience with this hostel.

Very unclean, especially bathrooms. Bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper for 2 days. Floors were muddy. Staff were a bit rude and unhelpful.

The hostel is OK just to spend the night, I would not suggest going if you plan to spend some time there. The elevator does not work properly for being a 7th floor building. In addition, the staff was not as friendly or helpful as should have been.
The location and view from the rooftop are the best thing about this hostel.

The showers are a little old, I wish they offered a generic shower gel in the bathroom. The pillows were very flat and I wish the sheets were a tiny bit thicker. My bed lamp also was broken. Kitchen opening hours - it was a little confusing as the restaurant says it open from morning to about 10pm, but the kitchen would be closed and they would not be serving food. Is it Spanish custom to close for a few hours during the day? But maybe this could be communicated a bit clearer as many people came down thinking the kitchen was open. I wish the kitchen space could be opened to use for people staying.
The location was perfect. The views from the rooftop and the mixed door room on the 5th floor were so beautiful. The staff were great, especially the lady with the dreadlocks. I liked the rooftop bar. There were two lifts though they are in very high demand as there are 6 floors!

Even though it was a 12 person room it was really spacious and clean. Everyone has their locker but you would need to bring your own lock. Overall a really clean room and bathroom with enough space to store a big luggage. I would totally go back. The staff was amazing! And the location is great, right in the centrer.

The hostel is not clean and is very noisy. Each room has more than 12 beds and there are no services There is no kitchen, no water boiler, or anything, not even a towel you have to pay for everything inside the hotsel we have to pay Honestly, for someone who stays for one night, it is okay, but more than that, I do not recommend this hostel, as it is not comfortable and causes a lot of noise.
A nice thing about this hostel is the location
