The culture of smoking: the ground floor and upper floor were smelly because of the people smoking on the entrance terrace. Only 1 bathroom per floor often occupied

A small dorm for 4 people with a large wardrobe and proper shutters and curtains for the bottom beds. 2 kitchens and a large bathroom. A living space to socialize. A breakfast for a good start. A free parking space just next door for our rental car. The location next to the coastal path Gijón-La Ñora and reasonably close to the centre of town .

The dormitory was really smelly and the bed did not feel very clean. I’ve heard that one guest had problems with bed bugs. There are not enough bathrooms, which makes you wait in a line. And the hostel is not very clean.

The hostel has a nice vibe and you can easily meet other travelers. The hostel offers surf classes for a reasonable price. It was very convenient and a lot of fun to join them. It’s nice that there’s some outdoor space and a garden.

A little bit outside of the city but reaching San Lorenzo beach is only 20 minutes walk! Guests were a little bit loud in the night after 11pm

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they all speak English and could be helpful for people that don’t speak Spanish. The vibe of the hostel overall is friendly and young, it’s surfing-focused so ideal if you want to experience that. Breakfast is also great.

The bunk beds are quite noisy and it will take you time to get used to them. I missed a paper explaining basic coexisting rules in each room. Some people think they are at home and they bring other guests to the room, they leave all their stuff around the room, they set alarms that they are not able to stop and awake other guests... So, in other to decrease these impolite behaviours, it would be great to stick "a basic rule decalogue" on the door of each room.

The place is fully-equipped. You can find everything a traveller needs over there. The ambience is amazing and the people from the hostel propose activities during the week so that you can have fun during your stay. The workers and volunteers from the place are not only amazing, but also helpful and caring.

the poster with weapons in one room, it contrasts with the peace and love atmosphere :)

Such a nice location, near the ocean and a little beach bar that has a perfect spot for sunset awe. The hostel itself is a big house that is pleasant to take a moment to chill and even surf or paddle.

The cleanliness of the kitchen at some times of the day and the cleanliness of the floors. Mattresses were ok but top bunk was difficult to get into and sheets were not put on my matress properly when I first arrived and had to do this myself which was difficult.

The location, the shared spaces on the ground floor and the garden/terrace

I was psyched to take a shower after seeing the bathroom, but it definitely looked a lot better than it performed. For the life of me, I couldn't get any hot water and the pressure was disappointing. Also, the bamboo system for drying clothes sucks and I found it baffling that a hostel centered around going to the beach didn't have any proper clothes lines for the inevitable flux or wet garments needing to be dried

The volunteers were friendly and really helpful. The vibe was very communal, which was great. The included breakfast was AWESOME! It's out of town, but easy enough to get to on the bus. Lots of space to hang out, both indoors and outdoors

Odd bathroom setup. Drying clothes is a hassle as you can’t dry them outside, so they are in a basement which really didn’t work

Near the beach and park, but a bit from downtown. Works if that is what you want. Shared spaces were nice, especially outside. Staff were A+

It was a little bit noisy til like midnight, but it comes with the purpose of this place. It’s more about connection with others, having good time. And it wasn’t so bad, just a little bit

Great cafe from the host, she was very friendly; Place looked new, plenty space to spend time with other or sitting alone. I was on Camino, so i went to sleep pretty early, but otherwise i would join the social gathering downstairs
