We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe room was rather small and dark with low beamed ceiling which gave it character but might bother some people.Bathroom very small.Cold at night. Too many Warning signs to feel completely relaxed. 'No Eating','No Smoking on Balcony','No Make Up on Towels' with threats of Fines.
Location was perfect,right in the heart of the old town on edge of Jewish Qtr.Very atmospheric area.Walking distance to all sights including main plaza.Property was in an old traditional building,Rooms above what is now a Jewelry Store.

United StatesThe location was such that the street was extremely loud and noisy at night. I did not have any sleep for 2 nights in a row. The noise level started around midnight and peaked at 2 or 3 in the morning and continued until 5 am or so. By the time I left the hotel, I was exhausted.

AustraliaThe host was a most unpleasant person who didn’t want to know us after handing over the room key. No hospitality or welcome. The clear message from the body language was ‘please don’t bother me’. The toilet had neither an exhaust fan nor a window. It made for an uncomfortable stay. The room was furnished very barely. Not even a hot water kettle or glasses for water.

United KingdomThere is no lift and we were faced with hauling large bags up two flights of a steep and narrow staircase. Unless you are travelling with a rucksack, or something you can put on your back as if it were a rucksack, then this is something to consider. You should not expect any offer of help in getting taking your bags to your room or in bringing them down. Also the double rooms must be legally double rooms, but they feel like a single room with a double bed that takes up all the space.
The hotel is well located and the rooms are very clean, and quite interesting.
