Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

no heating outside air conditioner. this setup maybe because of the usual weather but we had bad luck of 5/5 days of rain and was challenging to dry up

None. But if there's a chance of upgrading the size of the TV in the future as it is small.
I like the cleanliness of the hotel. 100% spotless, fresh linens and towels, very nice smell of the hotel/room. Very very clean! Staff are very warm, helpful and welcoming. Quiet neighborhood, privacy and we feel safe. Unli coffee 💯. They allow us also to use kitchen utensils for our take away dinners. Anna suggested some attractions must visit for kids. We came 2 hours early and was not expecting that the room is already ready. Our plan is to drop off the bag and go out to wait for our check-in time,but Anna welcomed us and let us check-in early as we got 2 small kids with us. We will come back here when we visit Barcelona again.

Nice and quiet place, spacious room, good breakfast, nice people, great location (few places to eat just walking distance from the hotel, shops, not so far from the main attractions - you can take a nice walk if you like or use public transport).

There was nothing not to like about this property.
Anna was an incredible hostess. From the time we arrived, she made us feel at home. She explained how we could get to all of the sights of interest and, knowing the type of croissants we enjoyed most for breakfast, she made sure they were on our table. The continental breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The room was a little on the small side but it was clean and we had everything we needed. The curtains totally "blacked out" any lighting or street noise which was nice. We slept well! The location was great and we could walk to everything. The property also has an elevator which was a real bonus. Lots of restaurants in the area and a very nice supermarket on the corner of the street. We enjoyed this property very much.

quite nice room, however alomst at the level of traffic lights at the noisy street. Leaving the luggage for longer than a day very expensive.
Clean big room, nice guys at the reception. Big variety at the berakfast buffet.

Everything was great!
Your experience was great, the place is very good, the price is perfect for Barcelona. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, breakfast was very good. I totally recommend !

The room had everything we needed in there. Comfortable bed, spacious and little noise from inside or outside the hostal. A short wall from the main station in Barcelona, the hostal was easy to find and close to metro stations and local shops and amenities. Staff were very helpful, friendly and always available. Breakfast was served in an adjacent room which had a wide selection on offer.

Great location, tasty breakfast, comfy beds, friendly hosts, and cleanliness on a high level. Best value for money! We were with 2 kids in the accommodation and it was an amazing experience for us to stay in such a place. The host let us leave baggage at the place and called a taxi for us. I really recommend this place.

We liked everything, Anna was welcoming along with the rest of her staff.
Continental breakfast was perfect with a good selection. Location was quiet with easy access to the shops and sightseeing.

Our room was on the street side, so you could hear noise and conversations coming from outside. Seemingly the case with most properties in Barcelona, it was expensive for what it was, but within the price range, I'm glad I chose here.
Staff extremely helpful, kind and polite. Filling breakfast available and a few options to choose from. Great area with transport very close by. Happy to stay there again.
