Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was a bit of drainage smell from the shower waste. The hotel tells you about this. I've got a top tip for you. Place a wet towel over the shower waste and that stopped any smell.
Beds were very comfortable, view was good.

Shower floor was missing tiles and we're sharp edges where they were missing, really mouldy and the smell was unbearable. Couldn't shower and with children it was a hazard. The smell of damp/mould from the bathroom and the heat of the room was sickening. We stayed as it was a short drive to the airport so only 1 night there after a day on the beach and night down the road having a meal. Wouldn't refund and said they were fully booked so couldn't swap rooms which we would have been more than happy with. Horrible horrible room. Family member stayed in another room and they were happy apart from a very small shower cubicle so it was maybe just this room but it should not have been used for anyone let alone a family ( 2 kids 6yrs and 2yrs which we stated at the time of booking). We laid towels down to seal the door but it was overwhelming still. I did shower but the water didn't drain very well either, no way was I able to let the kids shower in there. Come out dirtier.........Will log with the booking site officially which is not something we would really ever do but in this case we have too! Hotel accepted it was not ok but couldn't/didn't do anything.
Location was really good for the beach, free parking nearby, couple of basic shops nearby too.

Although technically this room had all the facilities advertised, the shower was tiny as was the terrace. On arrival the shower head was broken but it was fixed in 5 minutes 👍The terrace was a tiny balcony in an inner well of the building measuring about 2 x 1m and joined to other balconies so no privacy or security. Couldn't leave it open to air /cool the room. I was given an extra fan on the last day which helped.There were some bugs in the shower and bathroom and bed. Staff changed the bedding in response. I was offered another room but too late as it was on my last day.
The staff were very helpful and tried to address any problems.

the room was not according to the pictures on Booking.com; it was extremely hot and there was no way to get fresh air into the room; the room did not have any windows and had a severe sewer smell.
The staff was very friendly and helpful - really warm Spanish hospitality ! very good score for them !

It was not cleaned properly everyday, only new bathroom floor towel was given daily. the shower could be better as the drainage was poor and the shower area was really small. take note that your balcony could be looking out to other rooms. Sound also travels really well in this place so it may be difficult to sleep. The ceiling fan does not work, the room was still really hot.
The location is really close to the beach, the main area of the town and cute cafes for breakfast. Makes visiting other parts of Blanes accessible. Beds are also clean.

Room was overlooking a very large and loud fairground and carpark which playing very loud music until well after 1am The shower was extremely small and in a bad state of repair eg shower base tray was filthy continuously getting blocked during use and badly peeling where an inferior repair had been done unsuccessfully. seals was loose.
Close to local amenities eg supermarket beach bus station Bed was fairly comfortable

In a rough area. Rooms not well equipped for a holiday stay. No chairs or Desk. TV didn't work. Bathroom and Shower very small. Bar and restaurant st another hotel down the road.
