Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hotel was much smaller than expected. I had no idea where most of the photos were taken. Our room was up a very tight and steep flight of twisting stairs on the fourth floor. I didn't have fun dragging my large luggage up. The water in the shower went tepid. There was no tea or coffee in the room.
The hotel is located in a quiet side street only a few steps from most of the sights and a 20 minute walk from the entrance to Alhambra. Our deluxe room was nicely decorated with a scattering of antiques which created a warm atmosphere. The bed was 10 out of 10 snuggly.

MoroccoEverything provided is excellent, but it is a basic space and feels quite small. Bedside rugs would be pleasant for the cooler months. Bring slippers!
The best mattress I've slept on in a long time. Bedroom and bathroom were both spotless; newly renovated bathroom. Attractive light fixtures.

CanadaThe pillows were too hard and thick for my comfort.
This hotel was part of a building that the owner is transforming into a museum. Everything about it is beautiful and remarkable. Even our bedroom had much character and many special touches. It was close to many small shops and restaurants and about a 30-minute walk to the Alhambra. Our room was cleaned every day and it was far enough from the main streets to be quiet.

CanadaThe room smelled a little musty but that's ok - it was very clean. I ran the air con and it helped.
It was a unique hotel and I loved that it was family owned.

United KingdomThe beds were a bit high if you're on the small side and the room was quite small. It was difficult lugging a suitcase up 3 flights of narrow stairs although we knew before we booked that there was no lift, so no fault of the property.
Great location, interesting artefacts in the accommodation and welcoming host. Great shower and bathroom area. Comfortable beds.

NorwayIt would be perfect if there was a simple breakfast or at least a coffee machine on the ground floor. Also because this would make the beautiful halls there usable for guests - currently they are only there as a decoration which you admire on the way to the elevator, but nothing more useful than that. The bathroom in my room was a bit older and the door were very thin.
Oh, this is a special place! The owner is extremely passionate about decorating the place with self-designed sculptures and antique artifacts and furniture (produced in the modern times). You will definitely remember staying at Casa de Reyes. The location is very convenient, with walking distance to both Alhambra, Cathedral, the viewpoints and the train station. The bed was very comfortable. The owner offers photoshoots in historical costumes for some 15 euros extra. Not my thing, but other guests seemed to have a lot of fun doing it.

Carmen and her husband are excellent. They are friendly, helpful and really cared about their guests. For the room, despite its simplicity, the bed mattress & pillows were comfortable and in good quality. The shower worked well. And overall, the room was clean. Their museum was a plus.

United KingdomThis place is amazing! Like a museum with so much to look at. The owners are really proud of what they have created and are eager to share that with guests. The hosts are really lovely and the bedrooms are beautiful. Its very good value for money as the rooms are in a very central location and are really special. We've never stayed anywhere like it.
