Although I read when booking that there was no elevator, I did not expect that the climb would be along a rather narrow and uncomfortable staircase. The room (where you sleep) is small. There is no closet, there is a bar with hangers for clothes. The room is quite clean, but due to long-term use without repair it does not look very attractive.

Very good location: close to various types of transport, located in the historical center. The hostal has a small room where you can eat. There are dishes, coffee, tea, a refrigerator, a microwave. The water in the shower was warm enough to take a shower.

Highly recommend it. 1- the location is absolutely amazing right in the middle of gothic quarter, making everything accessible by just walking. 2- the staff were very helpful and friendly 3- the rooms were very clean and they kept cleaning all the places so even though i was a little bit worried about the shared bathroom, it was very clean and no problem at all 4- there is a sink in the room which makes everything a lot easier like you can easily do your hygiene routine in your own private place 5- you can store your bags before check in and after check out which is perfect Overall very good experience The only problem you should take into consideration is the stairs, there are a lot of stairs but in our case we only had a backpack so for us it was okay.

Minor things that didn't hugely impact our stay but worth a mention: -the smaller shared bathroom didn't have anywhere to put your towel or clothes when showering (there was a tiny ledge but it was precarious). also no hooks in the rooms for hanging towels. -shared lounge had no windows and wasn't the most welcoming. I never saw anyone hanging out here. -the rooms are tiny, even the double was quite tight for two people and luggage (and we only travel carry-on). fine for a few days when we weren't in the room much but it would definitely get trying. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for an affordable few-night stay in Barcelona. Any longer, and you might want a larger room and more cozy lounge area.

Great location - definitely the highlight of this hostal. But everything else was great too, from the friendly staff to the comfy beds to the affordable price. It was nice and warm (we stayed in February) too. There's even a communal kitchen and a small sink in room too. So even though there are shared bathrooms, you can still do your nighttime routine in the comfort of your own room.

Only 2 bathrooms for the hostel, makes it a bit inconvenient at times and one bathroom had a leak from the roof at one point. The walls are very thin so you can hear people talking from other rooms.

There was no AC but the ceiling fan kept the room cool however it was very noisy. Mattress could do with updating as it was a little uncomfortable but not a problem overall. A portable light was available above the mirror in the bedroom due to the original fixture being broken, but the light hadn’t been charged.

Great location. Bathroom facilities were very good - powerful shower, clean and always available when I needed them. Quiet room, could not hear any guests. Blackout curtain. Small balcony. Thick pillows. Room was small but it had everything you could need - perfect for a weekend away when you aren’t going to be in the room much. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Being four floors up the only downside is the lack of a lift. For older people or those with heavy suitcases this can be an obstacle.

The property is in a brilliant location in the Gothic quarter. It is only a step,or two away from great little eateries and places to visit.

Room was very hot, the main areas have air conditioning however the bedroom only had a ceiling fan and electric tower fan however this was not sufficient and we could not leave the bedroom door open. The hostel is also up a lot of stairs as is in the third level of the building so some people might struggle with this.

Good hostel in a great location of Barcelona old town, walkable to most major sites, about 40 minutes to Sagrada Familia. Room was okay size for two people. Bathrooms clean and shower had good pressure. We had no problems with waiting for showers. Staff very friendly.
