Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

I like everything there
I go to Onefam every time I’m in Barcelona and I’m never disappointed. Their staff is super nice and brings good energy as soon as you enter the place. They also propose social activities every evening. Plus I got upgraded from dorm to private room :)

It's hard to think of anything I didn't like honestly. One night I got too drunk so was refused entry to a night club, which of course was my own fault! But thanks to the community group chat and friends I'd made at the hostel, I found my buddy to walk back to the hostel with so it was all good!
It was the most amazing time here, my first time staying in a hostel. I was blown away by the amount of activities (there was not a boring minute of my trip) and the free, freshly cooked vegetarian meals every night were delicious. I'm usually quite an introvert but the experience here like the games and going out as a group allowed me to meet so many cool people and became so much more confident as a person, of course it helped having some beer but everyone was so welcoming and friendly! We all looked out for one another and the team leaders really knew how to party and have fun! Shout-out to staff member Kristian who was an absolute legend when I had trouble buying a train ticket, he bought my ticket for me and refused me to pay him back later, so generous of him. Aussie Dom was also fantastic, sharing beers with me and stepping in when I panicked due to social anxiety. I made so many friends and unforgettable memories!

some of the rooms are small and narrow.

Lucy was really helpful and gave me some great tips for my stay! The hostel offers fantastic social events, making it easy to meet new people. I also loved the free coffee – a perfect way to start the day. Plus, the rooms were quiet and ideal for a good night’s sleep. I would definitely stay here again!

Onefam hostel exceeded my expectations. Staff is super nice and hostel people are soooo much welcoming. I totally recommend Onefam hostel for anyone traveling alone, and if I could I would love to stay there more than two days.

Bed curtains do not fully block light.
The atmosphere and the people are great. Many fun activities are included, and I met amazing people around the world. Staff is super friendly and nice. Definitely stay again.

Exceptional staff, friendly and ready to help if needed. It's a great way to meet new people from all over the world, especially at dinner time when everyone gets together. Probably the best entertainment schedule I've seen with lots of things to do that are already included in your stay
