Under the beds in room 5 there were tablets and an odd sock (not ours) but other than that it was clean. I would still prefer a handrail was put on the stairs after my fall down them in 2024.

Kitchen is really well stocked with utensils and storage. Was kept clean by both hosts and guests. We engaged with at least four workers and all were really helpful, friendly, respectful and kind. This was my third stay so I was aware of the facilities etc but I’d not met these staff members before so it was nice to find they were as good as previous experiences.

There is very less air in the rooms, they need more ventilation. The bathrooms are quite small but enough for the amount of people who were staying there

Lua Lua is a very nice hostel, very clean, nice personnel and people there. The rooms are quite small but comfy enough for few nights. There is a kitchen with all of the necessary equipment and nice terrace where you can chill ;) Very nice location close to the beach, many bars and restaurants around and a bus station ;)

The terrible noise from the bar up the street, it was a choice, a little fresh air to cool the room, or a horrible noise to 04.00am. It was only in the top room. A fan might provide a solution. As said, it was only in the top room as the other rooms were not affected.

Everything, the staff really friendly, rooms clean, kitchen roomy and well cleaned, showers great, in all I loved it had such a nice atmosphere and was situated within walking distance to everywhere, bus station, beach, shops etc. such a nice vibe defo go back. Oh and adored the terrace lots of space to chill.

The toilet upstairs was dilapidated and dirty, the one downstairs was extremely small and uncomfortable. The bedroom was dirty. My bed sheet was dirty and old. There were no curtains around the bed. There was nothing as a night table or shelf where close to the bed and the cabinets where rusty and old.

I liked most the position of the Hostel (close to Central Bus Station, to Las Canteras Beach and to the facilities) and the staff, very nice, kind and helpful.

There was a guest there in mid-January named Simon from France whom I shared a room with, and unfortunately, the roommates had quite a few problems. He was aggressive, angry and threatening. It was so bad that several people wanted to change rooms and eventually had to sleep outside the room. After several warnings, he was finally expelled out of sheer necessity. He threatened the staff to give bad feedback on Booking.com, something he also did. To say it bluntly, this review is a complete lie. I feel obliged to mention this in my review. Guests who come in cannot behave cannot be blamed on the hostel and they did the only right thing they could, under difficult circumstances.

I was here for the first time 10 years ago. And have visited often over the years. The location is perfect and is in the middle of the beach promenade at Las Canteras. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the beach. I think the price is very good for what you get. The volunteers are very helpful and keep the rooms, bathroom and kitchen very tidy.

Very familiar atmosphere amongst owner, volunteers and guests. I traveled alone, stayed for one week and wanted to stay longer. I made many friends in different ages and from different countries. Very close to bars with lots of locals, groceryshops and beach. And the 24 hours pizza machine just a block away 😅 Would love to come back!

The palace is clean and comfortable and with a rooftop with an amazing space to socializing. The staff are all very friendly, I was there for 12 days and felt like home.

did not like the bathroom door and the fact that the kitchen opens 8:30 - pretty late.

its ok place to stay for this amount of money, for a few nights. bed is ok, its clean. rooftop is nice. you need to take a locker with you if u want to store your stuff. I did not bring, but got one from the staff, which got broken but they helped me quickly get my stuff out. the food storage system is really nice!

The location is amazing, in a great zone and steps away from the beach. The installations are perfect. I loved the well-equipped kitchen and the amount of common areas. They have separate areas for each guest's food in the fridge and the shelves, and they even offer you tupperware containers to use. The terrace is amazing for hanging out and has a tonne of space to hang dry clothes. Lua Lua is a very friendly and social hostel and I would highly recommend it!
