Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing. Maybe the rain, but that wasn't anything to do with the hostal.
I've stayed at a lot of Hostels but this was the best I've ever found. Fernando and everyone helping at the hostal are so welcoming and friendly I found the hostal interesting, clean, warm and welcoming. The other guests there were also lovely. Really enjoyed being part of the music nights.

United StatesIt would be great if there were more coat/towel hooks in the 6 bed Serengeti room (only 3 coat hooks, but 6 people). All of the staff were great except for one who made me feel like I was a burden, but that could just be my perception. Also our door made a loud creak, which could be easily fixed with a little oil on the hinges. :)
The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the privacy in the bunks was better than other hostels. The building itself is beautiful, and I especially enjoyed the patio for breakfast and the rooftop patio. The location is amazing for exploring the Albacyin and sunset viewpoints and very close to everything else, but feels tucked away on a quieter street. There were ample bathrooms and showers with high quality facilities that were always clean! The best hostel I have ever stayed at.

PolandMy stay in this place was amazing . Booking itself located on the historical part of Granada from where view is breathtaking. Inside friendly crew and atmospheric decor of the place. One can seat close to the stove and chill with nice companion. Need to say that beds were comfortable and no noise while sleeping .

ItalyThe place is nice, boho style, colorful and clean. You can have privacy with the little curtains on the bed, the bathroom is clean, the workers are kind and available. There are also two dogs at the reception that let my staying be more fun and cute.

United KingdomI think it's well-recognised now across hostels globally that nobody wants to stay in a dormitory with snoring strangers, and there's definitely scope for upgrading at least some of the dormitory rooms into smaller, 2-bed rooms without losing any beds themselves, so I really hope the hostel looks into this over the coming couple of years.
Wow, this has to be one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in globally. Ideally located in the very heart of Granada (although admittedly up a steep hill - pack light!), I was warmly welcomed by a bilingual member of staff and given the grand tour of the building, and believe me it is grand! Such a beautiful, historic building, and so tastefully decorated! To top it off, the pillow and mattress were a luxurious memory foam - the most comfortable I've ever slept on in any holiday accommodation anywhere!! Everyone was friendly and there was a lovely vibe between guests and staff. I really couldn't have asked for more. Sadly, my phone was broken so I couldn't take any photographs of the house and surrounding area.

I had a private room and it was very cute & cozy in a different building to the hostel but I still was able to enjoy the breakfast in the hostel and meet other travellers whilst also enjoying my own room best of both worlds! Staff were very helpful and friendly

The hostel is in the Albaicín, in an old-style house. It has a great patio and a rooftop terrace, the staff were all great and very nice, there was a breakfast included. I want to thank Lucas for waiting for me after his work hours as my bus was delayed!!! The place has a beautiful spirit, it is a place with soul. I strongly recommend it.

EstoniaUnfortunately it's not a great hostel for sleeping. The shared room is nice for four people, there is enough space for your things and a curtain for privacy on the bed. But since there is no outside window, it gets so stuffy there and you can't keep the inside window open as it's very loud in the hostel during night. We had people walking around talking with loud voices, singing and laughing at night. But people are different - if you go to bed late and like to sleep in, start your day later, then this is a good hostel for you. If you are someone who's a lighter sleeper it will probably be more of a struggle. To be fair - there were many different rooms in this hostel, some of which had outside windows too or that were on the higher floor away from the inside noise, so maybe there it is a completely different situation
Wow! this really is like a little Moroccan riad heaven! The location is very central in the old town, the area is busy with tourists, however you have like a little oasis there. There is a well-equipped kitchen, though the fridge tends to get very overcroded, a beautiful courtyard for chilling and a nice rooftop. Typical breakfast is also included. The staff was so nice, friendly, accommodating. It's a very social hostel for sure. And the bathrooms were nice and clean which is really appreciated :)
