Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomEverything was absolutely great, but if I need to say something to improve, I would saly that the room would be better if there was a little desk or some sort of table.
Everything was very clean. Very comfortable bed, good shower with hot water and good water pressure. The room even had a small fridge!! Had a really good experience.

AustraliaLocation was good, easy parking on the street, good value for money and facilities were clean and tidy with all amenities. Tea and coffee making was readily available which was great. Didn't meet the staff but they were easily contacted through booking site and were quite responsive.

AustraliaPeople trying to unlock front door all hours, it’s a difficult lock to open. Must read sign carefully. Slamming of doors one arrivals have finally got in. Good luck with parking! No eatery close by would be handy to have a fridge. We ate at the Oncology hospital cafeteria. Very good.
Nice large room with en-suite, coffee facilities in hallway. Easy access to city on bus route.

HungaryOther guest were a little noisy, and it could be heard inside our room.
The accomodation has a spacious room with two wide beds. The bathroom is clean and natty. The location is great, the neighborhood is quiet. You can be in the city centre with public transport (bus 17 and 28) within 20 minutes.

FranceThe room itself was a little austere, whilst very clean, it could do with some warming touches, pictures/prints or similar would help with some less clinical feeling atmosphere.
There was no breakfast offered as a part of the deal. The location was perfect for us, quiet and away from the hustle an bustle of San Sebastian. The bus No 28 ran very frequently and was only 5 or so minutes walk from the property. The return journey was equally easy, picking up the bus in the same locality as the drop off point - The Boulevard. Perfect for those who prefer a quiet neighbourhood and an undisturbed sleep.

South AfricaWe stayed for 6 days and no one attended to our room after the third day, mugs and glasses never got washed, no coffee or toiletpaper provided. Room remained uncleaned as we had no broom or dishwash liquid. We never saw our host William again and he did not answer his door. Outside area very unkept. Lots of mosquitos. Curtains need urgent attention.
Busses are superb, Gas station shop down stairs is excellent. Ice, wine, food etc.

AustraliaIt was quite hot in the room, even when the outside temperatures weren't that high (22~23). There was no aircon or fan. And because of the mosquitos we were not able to sleep with the window/door open.
Good location, close to the bus station which brings to San Sebas centrum. Also a lovely host! The room and bathroom was also very clean and were cleaned every day.

United KingdomShared kettle in corridor. Location is a little remote unless you have a car, although there is a bus stop only 5 mins walk away. The rear garden has potential but has been left to go wild.
Accommodation is perfectly comfortable and clean. Bus stop into town only 5 mins away. Host is friendly and informative.

SpainThe owners were lovely and very helpful. The room & bathroom were both large. Free coffee sachets & tea bags were provided, which was a nice touch. I was wanting a rest from my travels around Spain, so the fact that the hostal was away from the center of the city, was ideal as it was in a quiet area. It was only a 20 min walk to the nearest shops & bars, or there was a regular bus service into the city, which took about 10 mins.

IrelandNo air-conditioning in the room and we made the mistake of keeping a window open on the first night which let mosquitos in. :( For the other nights, we closed the window as soon as we got back which kept them out.
Room was comfortable, tidy and clean. It was good to have a kettle for coffee / tea. Host was very friendly and helpful.

The property is a converted house located on a quiet street near the university hospital, away from the hustle and bustle of San Sebastian. Free parking is available on the street at the front. We arrived quite late and the owner, who lives there, was very friendly and briefed us about the things to do and see in San Sebastian. From our room we had a scenic view of San Sebastian and also of the beautiful garden of the property, complete with a fruiting lemon tree. Our room was clean and comfortable throughout, complete with fast wifi. Coffee and tea making facility was also provided outside the room. Although located outside the central areas of San Sebastian, there is a regular bus service from a nearby bus stop to that goes to the city.

CanadaClean and functional. The yard outside is quite messy and looked uncared for, but inside was clean and that’s all that matters. It was the only place we stayed during our two weeks in Spain that we weren’t crazy about- ironically it was also the most expensive. Perhaps San Sebastián is just pricier than anywhere else (including France where we stayed one night).
