Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Statesroom & bath were small.
This was a pension on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The room & private bath were small with a sweet balcony in The Ramblas. There was no lobby, just a room with a couch and lockers to store bags off the hallway. Access was by combination lock from street and for room. it was very safe. We did not notice noise at night despite how close to busy area it was.

United Arab EmiratesNo elevator. 😒 It is difficult if you are carrying heavy bags.
The location was great. Right in front of Drassenas Metro Station. For tourists, it's the right spot. Lots of restaurants, including Halal restaurants nearby. Room was small, but WiFi was good.

FinlandThe only minor improvement I can think off was the shower. Being a short person, it was hard to take a shower with one shower head high on the ceiling. But in all honesty, since everything else was so good, my shower experience was quickly forgotten.
The location was excellent with a metro station on front of the hotel. The rooms were spotless. This hotel had the nicest, most helpful staff I have met for a long time. My mom had her birthday during our visit. The staff (Ambar) remembered her by a little gift. That felt very special. Hotel did not offer breakfast but it did not matter since breakfast places can be found a few metro rides away. Lastly, we highly appreciated the hotel organized tax to the airport. That worked out very well. We had the same wonderful driver both ways. Price was same as normal taxis.

RomaniaThe comfort is not that high, but it's acceptable. (Talking about the beds that are not that stable, and inside very thin walls - you hear everything going on the hallway)
The cleaning is exceptional. Excellent location.

United KingdomThis would not put us off should we visit Barcelona again, however if I had to say what we really felt about absolutely any little items…the room was just a tiny bit too small in a couple of places, it was roomy enough overall but the bathroom needed an extra little bit as it was narrow. The space between the end of the bed and part of the hanging unit was tight when clothes were hung at the one end. As a coffee with milk drinker, you need to provide some form of milk in the room, it wasn’t a big problem as we went and bought our own that we could then store in the fridge. And whilst there were plenty of plugs none were anywhere near the kettle and it’s tray. As I said about these are small things for completeness and would not stop us from staying on our next trip should we want to be in a similar location.
great location, very clean and our balcony had a great view of La Ramblas

Puerto Ricono elevator for luggage.
First: you have to pay the tax. It’s walking distance to a lot places. We had A room with three beds and private bathroom. It’s very good if you are frugal, and on a budget. When we first got there we saw all the stairs and was Kinda of bummed because we had to go up with our suitcase but the girl that was working was super Duper sweet and helped us. Being that we was traveling all of Europe for a month we had a lot of bags and we did a lot of shopping. It has its pros and it’s cons, but it’s manageable. Location: easy, walking, train , electric bikes, buses. In the center, restaurant , Glovo eats, shopping. Bedroom had a balcony and yes you can hear the noise, but not so bad, when people are sitting in desk area you can hear also. I would recommend soundproof doors. Beds were super comfortable, ac, bathroom had hot and cold water. Spacious for all of our luggage. Nightlife!! Right at in the center. Will stay again!!

ItalyToo busy outside, not for 1st time visitors on a high tourist season.
Very easy to go to the Gothic Quarter and Barcelloneta. Really well-kept, basic but they have an iron to press clothes inside the room, boiler, tea and coffee. Clean sheets, very nice people at the reception. If you already know Barcelona and would like a place to rest after being out all day - this is a very practical choice. But not for families with kids, late teens and young adults and adults are fine.

CanadaThe Ramblas is incredibly busy and noisy, and you certainly can hear noise from other guests/rooms. I highly recommend bringing ear plugs - we did, and we were fine. Also: The Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter are where a lot of thieves and pickpockets hang out to prey on tourists. So it's important to be cautious in the area, especially at night.
This is a super central location, right at the end of the Ramblas in the Gothic Quarter. It was very easy to get to everywhere we wanted by walking or the Metro. Mini fridge + hair dryer in room were nice touches, as was the city guide they emailed us after we booked, with suggestions on restaurants and attractions. There are lockers that you can store your luggage, which was super handy for us - we had a late afternoon train, so we checked out early, and came back for out bags on our way to the train station.

SpainTo be careful with infrastructure like frames and door's to be cleaned more often as digital trace was visible due to the believe that those type of surfaces are not visible. I missed some colourful elements in the common area with tables.
It was great to be attended by aware people that did their best to adapt to my needs about infrastructure to work and hours to access commodities. Very friendly and present to listen and take godo care of guest.

United KingdomThe entrance and hallway were creepy and were for several other businesses all looked abandoned. Got used to coming in and out of there eventually. Bedside lamps could have done with seperate switches as with both on it was as bright as the main light.
Room, staff and location were fantastic.Had balloons card and chocolates on my bed on arrival as the trip was for my 50th birthday. Would go again next week if i could. Mini fridge was also very useful. As was air con.
