Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWe arrived on a Sunday so had to travel 4km for a bite to eat.
Rincon de Navarette is a beautiful old Spanish building both inside and outside. The host was very welcoming and other staff excellent. This is our second time staying here and won't be out last.

United KingdomNo restaurant and had to drive to nearby town (10-15 minutes) for a meal. Breakfast charged as an extra and only served from 9am, which was too late for us. Nowhere to make drinks, one local bar but otherwise a deserted village! Check in can be tricky, you need to phone the owner to alert them to your arrival. Brusque welcome, felt like we were an inconvenience.
Grand old building with imposing rooms. Large bathroom, good shower and plenty of hot water. Parking on site

United KingdomHard to rate as severe thunderstorm as we arrived which flooded parts of village and kept us in. Secondly we wanted to cancel breakfast as we no longer needed it and could find no one to talk to in the evening. In the end we left a note hoping that would suffice
Quaint village friendly greeting

JapanA bit far away from anything. To get a meal it’s best to go to nearby pueblos, like Calamocha.
Charming provincial hotel from another time. A bit distanced from most attractions make it the perfect stop on a long journey to seek some quiet.

Magnificent property from the 16th century. Everything works. Had a great nights sleep. Parking off street and secure. Didn’t have the 9euro breakfast so can’t comment. Owner couldn’t do enough. Wifi doesn’t work in the room but pleasant to use in the main entry

United KingdomVery dark - the corridor to my room was literally pitch dark. The automatic light came on for a second, but went out before I got to my door, and mine was the first room. Ended up using the torch on my phone. No shops, bars or restaurants in the village, and no refreshments in hotel. No kettle in room. Breakfast was free and ok. They try really hard to make you welcome, but some of the basics are just not there. This could be an amazing hotel if there were food and drinks available and they made the best of what is there. That said, I would definitely stay again.
Really unusual place. Fabulously gothic inside. Obviously been a very high end place in its day, but its day was a while ago. You really need to phone to get in. The owners are really lovely. Room comfortable with a large bathroom and heating. Great outside space for dogs. Not far from the motorway. Fantastic value for money, and if you're just looking for a stopover with a dog, this is ideal.

SpainNo problems. You need to phone on your arrival as, being a large house, there isn't a reception desk as such and the door (the one on the left in the courtyard) might be locked.
The premises are located in a historic house in a small village easily reached by the A23. We only stayed overnight as a journey break but would like to return for a longer stay as it's not often you can stay in a place like this, full of character and family run.

United KingdomIt seems that when you arrive, you have to phone to get someone to open up the hotel and give you your room keys. This happened to us and subsequent guests. It would have been nice to be forewarned about this.
