Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSo interesting it is a transformed monastery in the heart of the Albacian. Great location The rooms are monastic. Well decorated while keeping the traditional architecture. Warm decor, internal plaza , separate places to chat and relax. Lovely staff: warm Friendly and responsive. Breakfast was excellent: one the best anywhere. Organic homemade bread, eggs, and yogurt! I’ll return!

Loved the traditional style of this hotel and its location. Ideal for accessing everywhere on foot if you want or take the bus which stops almost outside the front door. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were great. There are places to sit and read and a drinks section that’s always available and full. Not a machine, a kettle and a coffee pot with good selection of others beverages too. A stand out quality of this hotel is the owner, Ingo. He is there to meet you and goes over everything you need to know for your visit and can help organise things for you. Stand out service from a lovely man.

United KingdomBreakfast was slightly disappointing. More choice would be good. The toaster was rather ancient looking and didn’t really work.
Staff extremely friendly and very helpful with directions and booking a taxi to the station. Great location in the historic old town with a fantastic bus service outside the hotel.

United StatesThis hotel has an excellent location for exploring Granada. The bus stop out front makes it easy. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. The staff is very friendly. Our breakfast was delicious. The host, Ingo, was wonderfully resourceful. Each of his recommendations was spot on. We would not hesitate to return to this wonderful hotel.

Small is Beautiful. Set in a former monastery building, in the old and historic part of town. Rustic lots of character and well maintained. Staff go out of their way to help with the slightest thing. Good parking facilities within a few meters, paid for, can book with the room.. Local bus stops near hotel door ever 10 mins. Iconic views from the nearby Mirador St Nicolas. Good breakfast, facilities. My wife and I had an excellent five night break here.

It was very convenient to our trip to Alhambra. Great restaurants were less than 1/2 mile away. Ingo was a terrific host. Breakfast toast and eggs were great, as was Lola(?).

United StatesI’m not sure if it was a problem on our end but it was a bit difficult to get good Wi-Fi within the hotel grounds. This was a pretty minor point though.
Hotel itself was very cute and charming and in a great location. Staff were the best part of this hotel though. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a very early checkout to catch a bus and they prepared a little lunch bag for our ride, which I didn’t expect and was pleasantly surprised by.

Ingo and his wife are the best possible hosts. He sits you down when you get there and explains everything you need to know about Granada. The hotel is nicely finished and the rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. My wife wasn’t feeling good on the day we left and they told us to stay as long as we liked until she was ready to go. All in all it was the perfect place to see Granada.

IndiaThere was nothing to dislike about the property.
The property is located in the historic neighborhood of Albayzin. It's walkable from the downtown Centre of the city as well as the Alhambra. Bus no 31 and 32 stops just outside the property gate so it's super convenient to travel around the city. You can walk to San Nicolas viewpoint in less than 5 mins and there are many good restaurants like Las Tomasas and eateries in Plaza Larga which are close to the property. The property itself is a 16th century building which has been tastefully converted into a classy hotel by the owners. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and they had good heating in the room which was a must as we travelled in winters. The best part is the owners and the staff. We were warmly received and welcomed by Ana upon arrival. She patiently explained everything about Granada and marked it down on a physical map. The breakfast was homely and fulfilling with options of eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, bread, tea and coffee. As we were going to check out early in the morning the property arranged for a taxi which was there sharp at 6 am. The owners were so thoughtful that they kept a takeaway basket of breakfast at our door the other night before we checked out. All in all it was a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Santa Isabel La Real and would surely recommend it to everyone who wants to experience a warm and homely experience in the heart of Albayzin in Granada.

Beautifully appointed historic house in immaculate condition. Full of character without the flaws. Lovely staff who were very helpful, coffee and home made lemonade on tap (within reason). Cute breakfast room and omelettes to your taste. We walked all over Granada from here, the main square (with all the buses is only a short walk directly downhill.

BelgiumI couldn’t have made a better choice: - historic building in the heart of Salamanca’s most beautiful neighbourhood - spacious room, very good bed - lovely breakfast with a lot of home-made products - own spacious parking - very engaged owner, both in the preparation to find the place (no worries his guidance and both google maps as well as waze but you flawless on the doorstep) as well as his insiders rips on Alhambra, the neighbourhoud, viewpoints, bars and restaurant, is all what you wish to have

United KingdomWe ( my 82 Yr old Mum and 63 Yr old daughter) found the beds to be too firm. This is a personal comment. There was nothing wrong with them.
Ingo our host was fabulous. He spent 20 minutes explaining how to get around Granada, best Tapas, tips for visiting etc marking it all on a map. Such kindness. View from top floor toward Alhambra. Perfect location for Albaicin and bus stop to city and Alhambra right outside door. Traditional style building with peaceful courtyard inside.
