Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The hostel is in a great location - you could not get better. Bed was comfy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I think it would be better if there were some glass containers in the kitchen area for microwaving stuff as microwaving other materials is not healthy. The heating/cooling system in the room had a cover screwed over the control panel, so you could not make any adjustments. And it was set on cooling for a max. of 1 hr - not ideal for winter months. Otherwise, it is a great place.

As with all hostels you'll never get a solid night sleep, with noises of people moving and such, but there wasn't anything out of the ordinary and had a really nice time
Gabriel and Martin were 2 extremely helpful and friendly people. They helped me pick places to visit, and made the worry of feeling lonely go away, especially as during my stay there were many groups who I find hard to approach to socialise, thank you very much and I will hopefully see you again. Also the toilets and showers been linked to the room was really nice and convenient

I did not know that blanket was not offered so that was surprising to me.
The location was right in the center, close to Gothic Quarter, so I could get around easily. There are many restaurants and shops nearby as well. The staff were super friendly so I appreciated that.

If you have luggages, the space is a bit small.
The property has nice and accomodating staff. The room is kept clean and we appreciate the activities every night. It was also accessible to public transportation.

Wifi in the room didn’t work for my entire 6 day stay. Even tho I reported it to the staff every day, it never improved. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned regularly, even tho the staff were in the room every day changing bed linen.
Good solid bunks. Light and power in each bunk.

Near from everything
I would like to thank everyone there especially Mr. JORDI and Mr. LEO they are amazing they helped me a lot, I will come to this hostel again Because of their nice treatment .

Would have been appreciated with some sort of bed linen provided for, just a thin piece of fabric would have been fine.
Good location in the center of Barcelona. The room had good storage for luggage and it was nice with access to a bathroom within the room.

Boys and girls together in room, the Air condition was not not really cooling. Also didn’t get back my deposit, it was transferred while checking out. But unfortunately not yet credited in my account. Thats not a big deal. Its okay.

The air conditioning was broken and the sheets smelled weird. Also there is one shared bathroom for the whole room with 6 people, so the line to the shower can take a while.
The common area is really good. We got food from the supermarket and warmed it up there. The lockers are good also and the staff is very nice.

Locker didn't work, very noisy, shower flooded the bathroom floor and is a very short timed push button.

Sheet was provided but to thin. Night was cold. They charge for blankets, towels and ask deposit money for everything. I saw this for the first time. There were only microwave and kettle. No stove. You can't cook. Rooms are narrow its hard to not hit
There was free sangria event at night i arrived (i think they are doing it 2 times a week) and free walking tour every morning. İt is social, clean and well located.

It took a while for them to prepare my room.
