Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The staff is very nice. Also they plan daily activities, so if you feel like being social and make new friends, this is a great opportunity.

Wonderful and welcoming staff that felt like friends from tj very beginning. It was hard to leave! A home like sensation in every bit of the stay. A cozy and practical interior design. Great location. Definitely one of the top hostels I've ever been to! Will be coming back :)

Stayed two nights and actually don't have anything negative to say about this place.
Very clean and good space for storage, hangouts and even working. Also, kitchen is basically the same area as the reception. That might make people a bit more willing to clean up after themselves. Comfy bed, bedlamp and even coat hangers in some rooms.

The only downside, no outside window for fresh air in the female dorm so it got too hot at night. There was a good ceiling fan but the other guests turned it off and closed the doors. Not the hostels fault.
Amazing hostel no matter your age group. Relaxing and friendly vibe. Great location. Lots of showers and toilets available. Very confortable beds too. Great volunteers, always ready to help out or just chat. This is one of the best hostels in Las Palmas and I’ve tried a few. Several fridges and lots of room to store your food, which is rare.

The 6bed room was infront of other two smaller rooms so each of the guests living in the smaller rooms had to always pass which made it a little noisy at times. But during the night it was peace and quiet. Also it had no outside windows, but the air quality was okay.
This hostel exceeded my expectations. The beds were super comfortable, everything was extremely clean and the overall vibe was very nice and respectful, no loud parties, no dirty dishes, no hair in the showers.

Very thing walls you can hear everything.
It’s a decent hostel, clean and meets the expectations. Friendly staff and quite close to Las Canteras Beach and grocery stores, easy access to buses which are well connected to the entire island.

I really liked this hostel. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the people were active in creating a good vibe and organizing shared activities. It was easy to blend in and make new friends, and new guests were always warmly welcomed. The entire staff was very friendly and contributed to the positive atmosphere of the hostel. The bed and facilities were clean, and everything was in good condition. The rooftop terrace was lovely. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for laid back socializing and shared activities with fellow travelers. And I would come back here anytime.

- As mentioned in other reviews, my dorm room was quite packed and without windows. Yet with a little bit of respect and common sense, we managed it well. - One has to develop a "security system" since the front door stays open and only small lockers are provided in rooms (bring your own lock or buy at the reception!). But otherwise, as a woman traveling alone I felt secure there.

I think I really enjoy the company in there, how there was a good number of bathrooms and showers, everything was well organized and clean.
The people of the hostel are super helpfull, they keep the hostel clean and everything organized. I slept in one of the smaller bedrooms sharing with 3 people and everything went ok.
