Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe shower door wasn’t sealed properly at the bottom so the entire bathroom would flood.
The private room we stayed in was very cozy and comfortable and the hostel itself is in a super central location. The staff was so kind and welcoming as well!

United KingdomMorning staff at the bar are a bit grumpy. Maybe don't be so heavy-handed when serving the food and drinks.
The room and facilities within was great. Bar being just downstairs was nice and amenities and places to see are close by. Reception staff and evening bar staff were very friendly. Can't thank them enough! Shared spaces were very comfortable.

GermanyThe dedicated bathroom led to a momentarily capacity bottleneck. I looked for another accessible shared bathroom on the floor, but could not find any.
Clean and like-new furnished (3/2023) sleeping place. Surprised to see a dedicated bathroom in my six person shared bedroom. Great price performance.

United StatesI would prefer it if the bunks had curtains for privacy when you're sleeping, but it's not bad at all what they have. All the furniture is brand new!
I love everything about this hostel. In my opinion it's one of the best in the world. I've stayed here three separate times and it never disappoints. Everything is new and always clean. Rebeca at the front desk is super nice and helpful. Her English is perfect!

United KingdomNot really anyones fault...just circumstances: just came back from Portugal and my first experience of a hostal. More time in the same place meant the opportunity to talk / make friends with people. I saw the room with shutters open... here , I spent one night spoke to a lovely lady when I got in at night, woke in darkness... showered , dressed and came back to find a gentleman in the loo - no greeting whatsoever.. I suppose I could have spoken to him ??? I now know that I do NOT like having the loo so close to the dorm 🤣🤣🤣🤣 . I'd like to do the necessaries without fear of being heard.
Lovely staff member who did NOT immediately start speaking to me in English , after all.... I came to this wonderful country to improve my spanish! Allowed me to vent as I got lost - no sense of geography even with a Google map 🤣🤣. The whole building screams comfort - if I spend more time in central Granada as opposed to my tiny village, I will defo stay again - but in a female dorm! I was able to dress in the bathroom as my dorm mates were still sleeping. (Totally my fault as I did not think things through...). Food and drink can be purchased on site.

ItalyThe bathroom lacked a shower curtain and as a result, water splashed everywhere when someone took a shower. The room and bathroom were also not cleaned during the whole duration of my stay (2 days), which usually does not happen in a regular hostel, where at least the bathrooms are cleaned multiple times a day. Considering you are still sharing it with strangers (even if only those in your room), it should be cleaned often, or devices should be provided to keep it clean.
I liked that we had a bathroom in the room for us, so we did not have to go in the hallways everytime we needed to take a shower, brush our teeth, etc. The bunk bed was very comfortable even for me, sleeping above. The room was warm and the heating/air conditioning seemed to work well. The kitchen is also nice, clean and well organized, and there is a big common area where you can spend time in the evening. The location is amazing since it is close to the Albaicin but not uphill, so it is easy to reach, and it is right in the centre.

TOC Granada is situated in the heart of the city- a fantastic location with a great staff, beautiful interior decor and more a hotel experience than a hostel. We even got a packed picnic provided, as our early booking out was before breakfast started. We will be back! Thanks so much
