I wasn’t a fan of this hostel, didn’t have a vibe and it was expensive. The kitchen is more of a Kitchenette. They have 24h check in which is good for some but someone came in the room at 2am, speaking on the phone on loud speaker and turned on the lights for a while waking everyone in the room up. Obviously not the fault of the hostel but not ideal. Unfortunately it was my least favourite hostel in a 5-month trip

The building is nice, location is great for the centre, good to have bathroom in the room, the beds in the 6-person dorm were private and big locker

The design of the room and beds is awkward. The ladder is very narrow and difficult to climb. The 'reading light' is right above your face when you're lying in bed, right into your eyes. The bathroom didn't have enough hooks/hanging space for everyone's towel (6 bed dorm).

Beds were very comfy, air con was working. Separate toilet and shower so two people can use the bathroom at once. There's a cafe adjacent to the hostel for breakfast and coffee but also serving as a working area.

Apart from friendly staff and nice lobby area I really don't understand why this place has such a high rating..I stayed at the nearby Coeo Pod hostel just before this for a few nights for even less price but there's such a huge difference. Of course in a pod you have your own privacy but for now much they charge this hostel can't even put some curtains on the beds? Then there's the bunk itself. I didn't even arrive that late (22:15) but there were already people sleeping and it was hard to make out the steps. After putting my flashlight on I realised that to get to my bunk I have to climb the steps of another one???? It's so bizarre. As I climbed with the light I had to put my feet almost right up to where someone's face was then almost be eye to eye with the person on the top bunk before shifting across to mine. Ridiculous..

-My room card didn't work randomly a good 4/5 times, although the staff were nice i was tired of going down to the reception everytime. -The AC kept stopping in the middle of the night, I'd like to think it's perhaps due to the heat wave (???) -There's only one washing machine and one dryer in the laundry room and it's on the 2nd floor All in all these are just things to keep in mind. I have no problems going back here I'd recommend

I have stayed at TOC before and I had a great time. This time however certainly things could have been different. The cleanliness at the bathroom was not great and we often had no toilet paper. As for the toilets at the back of the reception, they were dirty and had no toilet paper as well. Fortunately, the kitchen was clean and tidy.

Flys in the kitchen, mixed dorms but changed to all girls, someone stole my food, not a lot of activities and when the are posted it’s by the check in desk which we only go to to check in and out so…. If you miss it, you miss it. No water fountain to fill water bottles, maybe at the bar but you have to ask….

The description said AC but it didn’t feel like there was AC and we all slept with the windows open.

The hostel was clean and extremely spacious! All bathrooms were divided by gender even if it was a mixed dormitory. The coffee shop was convenient. They had good desk service as well.

After showering the whole room smelled like pipes and sadly the bed is so close to it, It was not the best. I left my ring in the shower and forgot it after checking out. When I went back to ask for it, it was not there.. it " vanished". It was proper silver with a beautiful opal....

Stuffy "modern" vibe. The place just didn't have any interesting character. The bed was harder than a concrete slab. No curtain on the bed for any privacy. Commons area downstairs felt like a waiting room, not a commons area. Overpriced for what you get. I've stayed in better hostels that cost half the price. Other guests looked bored and anti-social.

Alejandro at the front desk was nice. Interior bedroom was surprisingly quiet.

As a solo traveller i guess you should be lucky with your dorm because it's difficult to meet people outside of your room. There is a lounge and a shared kitchen but it's mostly used by groups or people working there. It felt more like a hotel to me instead of a hostel.

Comfortable beds and every room has their own bathroom, so there's always a shower available.

the bathroom is in the room and there is only one bathroom. so if everyone gets up at more or less the same time and wants to use it - it can be problematic and you have to wait. furthermore there was no AC in the bathroom and also no window, so the smell from the bathroom was spreading to the room…
