Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Sound insulation could be better.
Very close to Bus and Rail stations. Great facilities, bright and spacious room had everything we needed and very good value for money.

We missed a kattle,
Apartment was clean and enough large with nice balcony, although the view was to the bus station. Close to the bus station, ideal if early/late have to travel.

Smoking was permitted in communal areas which we're not used to, so the restaurant and halls and lounges all smelled a bit smoky, though chairs and communal spaces were well maintained.
The staff were lovely and accommodating, especially as we arrived late with tired and hungry children. The waiter made a special effort to provide a meal for our veggie daughter and he food was good despite the late hour. The hotel is well located further train and port and staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were huge, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was generous and the half board arrangement made our whole stay really easy (we were just staying one night to get the ferry the next day).

I don't recomend the dinner in the hotel. The breakfast is ok, but not perfect.

Location is not the best, but it is not a far walk from old town.
This hotel really surprised me. The decore was dated but it was well kept and gave it a neat atmosphere. Felt like I entered a James Bond movie from the late 60s. Service was great. The rooms well appointed. Breakfast buffet was more than I could ask for! Overall a really nice stay. Thank you!!

It’s close to bus station and there was some noise but I actually had a good solid sleep
We chose the location close to the port for an early ferry the following morning - the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast and all at an extremely reasonable price . Thank you

The air conditioning seemed to be unavailable or not functioning. I realised this too late to approach staff & we were only there one night.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff friendly and helpful. The location was excellent.

The receptionist was not very welcoming and felt it rude that we had to pay up front, as we have never been asked to do that before!!
Very comfortable room and bathroom, we booked for two nights but just stayed the one even though we paid for the two ( which is fair enough)

The food in the restaurant was not great. The bedding was a bit dirty in places. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. We had to ask for a kettle for our room. There was a mini fridge but it was empty. It's very old school. Looks like it's stuck in the 70s.
The location was great, right next to the bus and rail station. In comparison to other places in Algeciras, its probably the best choice as there isn't much going on in the town.

Great location to the ferry! Lots of parking options. The reception staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient! The breakfast was fulfilling for a long trip ahead. And the service was thoughtful and considerate of travellers

The bathroom looked a bit old, no big deal. For ex the shower was throwing water a bit everywhere. Also the room was just above the bus station, it's convenient but of course you get the noise of the buses... can't have one without the other. The laundry service was not available when I was there.
Very well located just next to Algeciras bus station, perfect for taking the bus directly to Gibraltar (or others). The room is very large, clean. Bed very comfortable as well. There's a restaurant, not the best but still useful to have it at hand. Good communication when checking in and every other time I went to the reception.
