He has translation software, but there is a cultural barrier. They try so hard to make your stay a pleasant one. So, it is a marked contrast from other BnB hosts who don't have any direct contact with you, at all. They also don't believe in opening a window, so the room is a little stuffy. It's awkward trying to tell them that they need to have fresh air. The knobs have been removed from the windows, so I can't open the window. It's 2AM. It might help me sleep. Otherwise, I would have to wake up the on site man, and bother him with this trivial detail. They might take more photos, like the place you get the key and the path from the metro station. I've gotten used to using Google Maps, but other people might have a harder time finding the place. I took screenshots of the walk, from Google Maps, from the metro station and used a compass to orient myself and make sure I was walking north, then west. But, I still had to ask three people for directions. You need to descend down a concrete path, under the freeway, which I would have missed. If you don't have a compass, some phones have the tech to allow you to download a compass app. I'm an American who is trying to adjust to Finland, so I don't want to spend time adjusting to China. But, I'm a tourist, with certain needs. Someone living here will have other needs. There is no separate room, but a makeshift wall, so you don't really feel like you have your own space. For me, it was an emergency option, over the weekend, when other places had inflated prices. They might stock the kitchen with salt and pepper. So, I hope I'm not complaining about trivial things and making a big deal out of nothing.

They seem like wonderful people! The on site man is Chinese. He can't read or write in English or Finnish.
