Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Canada- Property has no laundry facilities; laundry service is expensive. - Having USB charging connexions on tables next to bed (didn't see them) - This one is not the hotel's fault but there are always a few poor souls who are forgetful when using old style lifts and do not take a few seconds to close the grate or the door before leaving. These lifts hail from years past and are really great to use. If you had lived in an apartment with such a lift and forgot, you would get a nice reminder.
Breakfast was a complete affair that can satisfy many requirements. Had maple syrup and the small croissants were very tasty and flaky. Location was excellent - near enough to many places of interest to walk to, depends on your willingness of course. But trams are in abundance and can reach many places in reasonable time. Business travelers will be well served with the work spaces providing power and a good wifi system.

United StatesCheck-in can be busy, as it's a large hotel.
Close to train station. One of the biggest breakfast spreads I can recall with local specialties (meatballs, spinach pancakes, lingonberries) as well as things like eggs, oatmeal, fruit, pastries and much more.

United StatesNot enough places to put stuff in the room. I was there for a week and I like to unpack completely. There just wasn't enough shelving or drawers. I ended up lining my stuff up on the window sill, which worked fine as it was quite large. A few more shelves and pegs would have been helpful.
Great location. Very clean. Very comfortable. Great breakfast. Nice and helpful staff. It was just super easy, it worked perfectly for us.

AustraliaNothing at all.
Absolutely fantastic stay! Typically high standard of interior finishes in a beautifully repurposed early 20th century brick building opposite a park and only a few hundred metres walk from everything Helsinki offers. Lovely room, thoughtfully designed with a great bed. Best shower. Common areas are plentiful with lovely furniture and secluded spots to sit. Breakfast buffet superb and Espresso coffee can be ordered at cost. Evening meals also excellent - pizzas can be recommended. Parking underneath with EV charging, big spaces and direct lift access.

United StatesThe first room they gave me the ceiling tile was detached from the ceiling and the ac unit wasn't plugged in. I was tired from traveling, so having to go back to the lobby with all my luggage again wasn't fun. But the receptionist was wonderful and got me a new room immediately. If I had to be nit-picky, the rooms with a bathtub were a very steep step to get into the shower/tub. I almost wish they had a step stool for me, haha. Navigating exit while wet was not fun either. This small detail wouldn't deter me at all from staying again, though. Also, the thermostat in the room wouldn't go to 19, I'd set it at 19, and the closest it would get is 20. Minor detail, but I would have preferred a slightly cooler room and being able to control the thermostat.
This was the most perfect place for my stay in Helsinki. The hotel was busy, and I didn't hear anything from the rooms around me. They're sound-proofed extremely well. Breakfast is an absolute dream - soothing acoustic music with food to satisfy every palate. The room was spacious, and I loved that the bathroom light automatically turned itself on and off in the middle of the night by motion sensor when you entered. Clean, comfortable, luxurious, and peaceful. You won't regret staying here! It may be the nicest hotel experience I've ever had.

United KingdomAll of this is being picky. The English (good, for us) labelling on the light switches, the, I think, grey font on black switches was hard to read or recognise easily at a glance (though the electrics and lighting options in general are totally up to date). No espresso/latte/cappucino coffee at breakfast (although I didn't look that hard, maybe it was there), but, the filter coffee was very good. Also, though many hotels do this, and that's put the mini-bar fridge in an unventilated cupboard, result is that it has to work hard to keep stuff not very cold. I expected smarter from the Scandi's, maybe it's a H&S thing. My wife thought a complementary shower cap would have been good, they didn't even have one on request.
Good sized room with a roomy en-suite and excellent shower. Furnished and decorated in quality unfussy practical but comfortable Scandinavian style. Location about as central as you'd need in Helsinki, everything in walking or easy public transport range. Excellent and varied breakfast offering. Good public areas. The Hotel had many facilities which a 2 day stay didn't give us time to try.

GermanyWe had an excellent experience at the Scandic Helsinki Hub. The hotel’s central location is perfect for exploring Helsinki, with easy access to top attractions and public transportation. From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm and professional. The lobby and rooms are modern and stylish, and we had a very comfortable bed and a great view (we stayed on the 5th floor). The cleanliness and thoughtful design added to the overall comfort of our stay. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious options. Amazing ! Overall, the Scandic Helsinki Hub is an outstanding hotel, which we can highly recommend.
