Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There are no toiletries such as toothbrushes in the bathroom. Also, I personally think that there should be a luggage tag attached to luggage stored in the luggage storage room to prevent luggage being mixed up with other guests.
The location which is within walking distance to the city centre, the staff of the hotel which were really helpful. My daughter broke a glass during our stay and the hotel didn't even charge me when I offered to pay. The breakfast at the hotel was very good with a good selection of foods.

The gym was amazing! I was not expecting there to be a full squat rack and Olympic free weights! Also the sauna facilities were very nice with an ice cold bucket pull too! The included breakfast was quite expansive and delicious as well.

Didn't like that we never booked this for our return to Helsinki from Tallinn, we booked different hotels for each leg before leaving home. On the last leg...we stayed elsewhere and it was not a patch on this one, sorry Scandic Helsinki Hub 😫

Parking is extra charged & quite costly ( 35 EUR /24 hrs ) . If U use Easy Park Apps outside the hotel , it'll reduce your parking fee almost in double.
Breakfast is perfect . Various , delicious choice of fresh food with some touch of Scandinavian & local specialities .

slippery floor outside the hotel (saw several pedestrians slipped and fell right outside the hotel). you need to join breakfast 1 hour after the official starting time as many hot dishes are not ready yet.

Breakfast was overcrowded and a little like a staff canteen. However, this area is actually the Italian Restaurant in the evening. Our meal here, on the first night was not quite as expected and left us unsatisfied
The rooms were exceptionally spacious and well equipped. An added touch, much appreciated, were slippers. The grit spread outside for the snow was easily dragged into the room! It is a very large hotel, both times we stayed during this trip the rooms were very good but some distance apart. First room overlooked the front very pretty park area, the second was at the rear of the hotel, no particular view. Excellent taxi service ordered by the hotel staff

It would be good to have the wall clock in the sauna area for time orientation, and also interesting to know the temperature in sauna.
Perfect location in a quiet place. Сity center and central railway station within walking distance. In hotel cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Sauna and GYM are included. The room is clean and comfortable. Perfect breakfast at the morning.

No variety in warm meals for breakfast. The room could use some soundproofing.
Great location, plenty of transport options. Walking distance to a bunch of shops, restaurants and the prom to Suomenlinna.

When we checked in, a lot of people arrived at the same time so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes before it was our turn to check in because there were 2 people working at the time. It wasn't a big deal - we were tired and wanted to get to our rooms. The staff was really great!
Breakfast was delicious and there were so many options. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I accidentally left my phone in the taxi from the airport and the staff were really helpful and called the taxi company to help me get it back! The hotel is very central to everything, clean and quiet.
