Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A dressing table or somewhere to do make up would have been nice. Breakfast was always extremely busy, but in fairness the staff were constantly clearing tables and re-stocking the buffet area. Finding the open bar was a challenge from the elevators as the signage was not clear and it was easier and quicker to exit the hotel front door and walk up the hill to the corner!
Location is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Providing an early breakfast was a great touch for an early flight. Comfortable beds, fantastic shower. Good temperature control in the room. A great choice for breakfast.

Slow check in at 5pm - perhaps they could add extra staff at that time? The hotel bar was difficult to access, though we easily found other places to go. No kettle and complementary tea/coffee in the room. Maybe this is a cultural difference .
Great location close to the city centre and airport train. Rooms were nice, clean and a good size. Friendly and helpful staff.

There wasn't a single drawer in the room, although there was an openable chest which doubled as a seat. I had to ask for a chair to use when using a laptop at the desk (provided instantly!). I also like to have an openable window to get FRESH air - I understand (being involved in property) that air-conditioning requires un-openable windows but ....... I like fresh air! Whilst breakfast was very good and varied, it was the same every day - no surprises (no mushrooms!).
Excellent location with just a short walk to the main central areas of the city. Many and varied restaurant options within minutes - obviously didn't try all of them (only stayed 4 nights!) but the options are close by. Great room - spacious, great bathroom, superb shower, lighting controls were extremely good. Very good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Internet connection worked perfectly. All round an enjoyable place to stay for a short city break

I found it somewhat pricey but I guess this is the overall trend in accommodation in Helsinki.
The room was very clean and comfortable, and I really liked the lights settings! Breakfast was also very good, it had something for every taste and preference. Great shower!

We were able to check in a little early, but had to pass about 4 or so hours till then. I know very early check in is not always available but I booked hotel months ago and asked for early check in then being prepared to pay more. We had travelled from Australia and were extremely tired, having had little sleep for over 36 hours. Feel a bit more flexibility at time of booking would have been a more professional approach.

Competing with a large number of conference attendees, although the hotel staff gave me plenty of heads up for avoiding when their facilities would be crowded.
I had an extra day in Helsinki before flying back to the US. This hotel situated me perfectly for meeting a nearby friend for a day and for connecting with my relatives also flying out on vacation the next day.

No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Very clean, tidy and modern inside. Breakfast buffet is one of the very best I have experienced anywhere in the world. Spacious dining and bar areas including an open air courtyard. Location is very good in the centre of the downtown opposite a small green space. In room Bathroom was great, bed comfortable and nice touches like various USB options.

Perfect location near to all the shopping and transport. Very quiet comfortable bedroom with a lovely view. Breakfast was first class. Loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
