Localisation,outside the city,loved surroundings. Very relaxing My family enjoyed our stay a lot.Kids loved playing in the snow outside the yurt. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay. .

There's nothing which I didn't like.

The location is exceptional. It is a quiet area with a lot of open space across the lake so it's perfect to try and spot the Northern Lights during the night. The hikes are also breathtaking, with beautiful views. The yurts are very cosy, spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast provided was wonderful and perfect, since you can take it in the yurt itself. I loved the fact that you can use the barn to cook some sausages or marshmallows, and the staff are so nice and helpful!

Maybe the breakfast could be improved. The distance to city is a bit far. We see most of the guests rent the car.

The surrounding is really amazing. Kids can do sledge. We can do a hike. Even bathroom is outside, they're very close and clean. We never need to wait to use. Gigi is very nice.

Suna is really really pricey. Problem with bathrooms are that when you go to shower there can be mud from snow everywhere.

There see sleds to borrow and fire space to grill. It's really chill place to put your mind off. Hosts are really nice and helpful.

Awesomeness in a small package. It was very exciting for us to experience a Yurt in Finland, as "Yurt" has it's roots in old Turkish - meaning "Home". Although the weather was cold, the Yurt itself was pleasantly warm. Everything looks very basic at first glance. However it proves to be very sufficient and even very refreshing so that it is just perfect. Gigi is a very kind and helpful person. Gigi recommended an app for the northern lights. However we were a bit unlucky and the weather did not allow us to see the northern lights. She offered us free Marshmellows as a compensation, which was very sweet. We will be back next year and stay again at Yurt District and this time we will bring a little surprise with us from Türkiye for Gigi. Thank you for everything 💙

It’s like staying in a Harry Potter movie. The yurt is amazing. Facilities are good and warm. Kids absolutely loved it. Campfire and the barn is amazing and staff super friendly and welcoming

location outside the city (ideal to see the northern lights), nice environment near the river (was completely frozen in February), peaceful, free sledges available for the kids. Toilets outside the yurt however very clean and well heated.

While recycling efforts are commendable, it's true that not all materials are recyclable. A small, designated bin for general, non-recyclable waste would be a practical addition.

Our yurt stay was absolutely magical! It was incredibly comfortable, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The staff were exceptional – so attentive and helpful, making sure we had a perfect experience. The location was simply breathtaking, nestled in the heart of nature. It felt like stepping into a fairytale, the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. A surprising bonus was the shared bathroom facilities. Each nighttime visit became an opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights!

Transportation is hard / expensive unless if you don’t have own vehicle. There are very less options of food in mini market.. it’s good for people used to cook barbecue. But if you are not a barbecue fan then it will be hard staying there..I would suggest to bring your own pre cooked or quick foods like cup noodle before you visit this place.

The location is very best and we had a chance of seeing northern lights from the day one.. Staff are very nice and helpful, they are always available sort out any needs.

- a shower in the evening is a bit smelly, as humid concentrates there

+ Gigi is very friendly, originally from Mongolia, helped with grilling, gave us sleight, always reminded us on Aurora appearance! + I know we were lucky with timing and all, but we saw aurora at the best, and as we speak with people living in cities - they couldn’t see it, no. So, it is a great location. We tried two trails around, one goes at high altitude and heavy, but worth the view! + Showers and yurts are warm despite -18 outside

I cannot think of anything-it exceeded my expectations.

The yurt was a very unique and wonderful place to stay. It was fully appointed and very comfortable. Gigi was very welcoming and explained all of the information we needed for our stay. The walking trail was beautiful and easy to follow. We also appreciated that sleds were provided. Gigi was wonderful alerting everyone to the Aurora at night. The provided breakfast was typical of a Finnish breakfast and I enjoyed it! The shower and toilet blocks were very clean. I would be back!

The Yurt is gorgeous, comfortable and warm, and it feels like a truly unique experience in Europe. The hosts are unbelievably hospitable and go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Everything is thought through to the tiniest details. It is very quiet and peaceful and our whole family had a great quality sleep. Highly recommended!
