Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Australiaall good.
We had a great family holiday at the Outrigger Resort Fiji. The Scenic drive from Nadi airport along the coast was a great introduction to Fiji. The Welcome to the hotel was a highlight with the sounds of Bula Bula echoing across the hotel entry. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was outstanding with views across the resort to the ocean. All the meals were amazing, each restaurants had a particular flavour, but our favorite was IVI restaurant , the dinner was exceptional. Breakfast was perfect, sometimes in the buffet, sometimes in the little coffee shop. Dinner each night was treat, with a different restauarant experience each night. Even sitting by the pool or on the beach during the day was so relaxing, absorbing the Fiji Time experience. All the staff are so friendly and happy to help. All in all a great place for the Family holiday.

New ZealandLoud music by the main pool.
Beautifully landscaped tropical paradise. Separate adults only retreat, pool, swim up bar, cafe. Heaven! Excellent variety of restaurants with fantastic food. Big choice of activities, all included. Lovely live music. BEST OF ALL - the staff! Incredibly welcoming, warm and helpful. Vinaka!

AustraliaThe showers could be upgraded as the height was a bit low.
The vibes, and the friendly staff. Activities felt inclusive and the adults pool was in a nice location. Wished the bubbles worked. There were many restaurants to pick from and enjoyed the Fijian dishes. Loved the bread and butter pudding, and would love this to be on the menu in a restaurant.

South AfricaThe room was normally made up only after 3, would prefer it in the morning. Service at the Bavari restaurant was especially slow, even for fiji time.
The pool, the breakfast buffet and the Beachgrill restaurant was amazing, especially the beef steaks. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Lovely facilities.

AustraliaI wish it was closer to the airport!!
What can I say but Vinaka. The Outrigger did not disappoint on our return. We did things a little different but the outrigger have made some changes as well during CoVID which I believe has made it so more about the local community. We stayed a plantation Bure on this visit and enjoyed so many of the extras that came with the room. We had a talei butler and huge shout out to Venina who looked after us. We had complimentary high tea, laundry load and nightly canapés and drinks. Topped off with a turn down, chocolate and schnapps before bed!!! Breakfast is a treat with the infamous Antonio and his omelettes. Not to mention the wonderful waffles available every second day. The coffee availability has improved immensely and a much better system is now in place. Vinaka to Eleanor and Violet. Pool side wait staff are amazing Shout out to Ateca!!! To the bar staff for making sure I’ve tried all the cocktails- Luke!!! The daily activities were so much more available and allowed getting a chance to get as involved within or outside the resort as you would like. The village tour was fantastic and a great opportunity to see and support the local community. Night snorkelling is a must do. Fantastic work being done across Fiji to preserve and restore the natural environment. Bebe spa - amazing women who make sure your relaxed and want to keep coming back for more. Kids club- thank you for adopting my daughter through this time! She had a ball!!! The staff demonstrate the highest level of customer focus and service that needs bottling but there can be only one Fiji!!!

AustraliaPrice, the cost to stay and the costs while there really add up.
The Outrigger is great, the staff are amazing, plenty to do, great pool and beach. The hotel is perfect for kids. Kids Club is free for 3+ and for the younger ones there is a nanny service. My kids loved it. The food is yummy but expensive. You can walk to nearby restaurants as well. The rooms are a bit dated but comfortable. There are lots of little 5 star touches to make up for the dated furniture, like nightly drinks and canapes. By the end of our four nights we were friendly with everyone from the maid to the bartender, Fijian people are wonderful. Overall, if money isn't your highest concern but a great family holiday is, we recommend this resort.

Never got a salad that was as ordered. Steak not cooked as ordered etc. They tried hard to correct thing on our second visit. It was better.

AustraliaI would have liked a cheaper option for laundry as we had been travelling Fiji for quite a while when we got to The outrigger, or even self serve coin operated laundry. The Warwick beats the Outrigger on food choices and restaurant quality but this is a non issue for us.
Clean, lush and well maintained gardens, beautiful and cool room, great bed, nothing went wrong, staff are the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. We were married there in 2011 and always visit Outrigger. Great breakfast!

New ZealandFor the first two days we were picking and choosing where to eat on and off the resort, and the prices for food at the resort restaurants are off the planet. However, the food is generally very good and it seems designed to get you to buy the daily full or half-board meal plans which are decent value.
Great location on the Coral Coast, very large resort with great pool areas and good facilities. it wasn’t as “polished” as other high-end resorts we stayed at but felt a lot more authentic in terms of fit out and style of buildings.
