Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FijiThe Service. i was still sleeping in the room when staff walked in around 830am to check the mini Bar thinking i was out for breakfast. The Manager at the reception for my friend's wedding was very rude- service was not up to par.
Scenery was beautiful & room was nice.

AustraliaThe resort is very old and everywhere you look something is broken or damaged. The beds were absolutely atrocious. The air con in the room didn't work and made everything damp. The food and drinks are very expensive. Very old and rundown and definitely shouldn't be rated a 5 star. There was alot of mould in our room. I asked to switch rooms and was told they will get back to me but never heard back.
The staff are amazing! So kind and they love love love babies! The Bebe Spa is absolutely beautiful.

United KingdomNo meals included, reception staff had no idea what's going on. They told me the pool is open 8am until 6pm, when it's 7-7...expensive and not great value for money BUT, kids club is amazing, staff super friendly. One random lady went around offering everyone free champagne on Sat night, which was great. Would go back with kids - wouldn't recommend if you don't have kids!

Australiathe restaurants need better training and higher quality ingredients and a greatly improved menu, the value for money on-site and certain unfair or discouraging pricing techno needs to be reviewed.

Australia-Front desk needs to get themselves organised. On 4 various occasions, random charges were added to our tab ranging from $300-$500. CHECK + TRIPLE CHECK your tab as you go along if you decide to stay at the Outrigger. I spent at least an hour sorting this out at the front desk only to have some of these charges re appear again upon check out. -Rooms are dated and have not changed at all since our visit 15 years ago. -Daily entertainment was also lacking. -Air con didn’t work properly, one function available which made the room freezing, if turned off room turned into Sauna.
-Pool facilities -Sundowner Bar food & beverage -Talai Butler service 10/10 always greeted with a beautiful Fijian smile

AustraliaOperator did not to get back to me on time. Fridge broke down on last day. Bathroom in need of renovations. Ocean view only partial so not worth the upgrade. Tourism industry is suffering at the moment, so would give them a chance to recover and update facilities. Needs more traditional fijian ceremonies on a bigger stage I.e. shows daily.
Staff did their best to accommodate. Including microwave, wheelchair accessible rooms. Assistance with baggage.

AustraliaCheck-in was supposed to be 3pm our room was not ready. They also checked us into the wrong room so no afternoon butler service like we were supposed to get. The room they put us in was the one my son had booked and then cancelled well before we were due to go there but it wasnt taken out of the system. No offer of being moved or compensation for their mistake of any sort. Also the distance from Denaru or Suva was over an hour so you would need to hire a car for the day to go anywhere.
Could not fault any of the service staff they were all friendly and always helpful. Buffet breakfast was fantastic as was dinner at the Sundowner restaurant. Also the adults only pool and bar was fantastic food was ok.

IsraelWe booked a Bure and the room was old, really old. The shower looks bad, the sofa itches. When we just got to the room there was a lot of dead ants, you would think someone will clean them up at some point, but no. There were here to stay. Then some more live ants start coming, everywhere in the bathroom. On our toothbrush for example, we called a few times and asked for help, someone came with water once, surprisingly they came back. Only when we came upset to the reception they handled it. Another night it was rainy, I know it because the rain went through the ceiling to our pillows so we had to sleep with a bucket. You could see on the ceiling it’s not the first time. The adults pool looks nice but there is not a lot of sitting areas or umbrellas. The hotel is just not a good value for money, it’s too old and the service isn’t good enough.
The best thing about the hotel is there is pretty good restaurants outside the hotel that are walking distance, so you don’t have to always eat at the hotel.

AustraliaThe cost of everything. I.E good, drinks etc at the resort is excessive for what it is and makes me not want to go back there. When we ate at the local places outside of the resort the prices were much more reasonable
I liked that there was lots to keep the children and adults entertained I liked that the Wi-Fi was good and you could stream Netflix on the TV’s

New ZealandFood wasn't great, felt it was below average quality (except for a few dishes we tried). We had a pair of wireless earbuds stolen from our room which was extremely disappointing so I would recommend you lock up your valuables. We didn't love the location, it is about 1.5hrs away from the airport and quite isolated if you want to do any day trips. The lagoon is very tidal so you can only swim, snorkel and paddleboard during set times of the day.
We don't have kids so the adult pool was lovely for us, the mocktails were very nice and the staff were all lovely and friendly and the activities at the resort were good. It is very family friendly so if you have kids, it would be great. We stayed in the Ocean View room and the view was really nice, there was a big TV and free fast WIFI so we could watch movies on Netflix every night which was cool.

Australialimited ocean access - bottom of lagoon very hard to walk on, cut my feet, and could only swim at high tide. Very noisy, more a kiddies playground than a peaceful resort. Shower over bath poor access for those less nimble. Overly expensive compared to other stays and far from airport, $160 taxi transfer.
room good, staff friendly, buggy transfer to room excellent, many good restaurants.

FijiStaff could be more friendly, on some occasions they would treat the tourists from Western countries with more warmth than what was offered to us. It was blatantly obvious. Housekeeping never cleaned our bathroom mirror so water stains remained in the glass throughout our stay. I tried cleaning the mirror but was unsuccessful in getting rid of the water stains. Check in was stressful as the staff looking after us wasn’t clear on the $600 security bond. The rest of the guests in reception were given their complimentary drinks and minty face towel, but we didn’t receive ours.
The breakfast buffet was delicious, no complaints. Liked the fact that some staff addressed us by name. Our talai butler, Marika, was very friendly and helpful. He helped us book our appointment for dinner on several occasions. I was pleasantly surprised with the lovely gesture of congratulating my spouse and I on our recent wedding engagement. He laid out flowers and palm leaves on our bed wishing us a Happy Honeymoon and wrote a heartfelt card which I’ve kept. On our day of checkout, the staff sang a farewell song during the buffet breakfast which was very touching as it was unexpected.

New ZealandWe were made to wait to check-in into the room for an hour, this was just too long of a wait, when we have planned other things in the next hour. There was contradictory information between the staff and the manager, the staff should not commit to something if there is no availability of interconnecting rooms, honest answers would have been appreciated especially when you make someone wait for that long. We felt like the meals were over priced too.
The pool was good, the room size and cleanliness was good as well. The staff was friendly.

New ZealandAll 3 family's got really sick with vomiting and ended up in bed for 3 days. Considering we can only eat or drink at the resort, we are confident it came from the outrigger. This wasted a big portion of our trip.

AustraliaGetting charged an extra night after changing it 6 months ago and was accepted. Not getting told we were next to 5 rooms with covid in them. Having to pre order from a restaurant that we couldn't get in to for another 3 hours. Air conditioning in the rooms were very terrible as wouldn't get above 22 also when it rained overnight the tile floor gets very slippery.
